The placements are excellent.
Placements: Above 60 percentage placement will be started and the highest placement course in information technology (IT)the highest package 55lpa and the lowest 7lpa many companies are come to placement Infosys in chemical engineering pharma, core, lab test many placement offered here in chemical engineering the placements are good value the course top companies are helded from your college.
Infrastructure: In Vel Tech, the infrastructure is good. In the rainy season, there is no storage on campus the water is filtered to the pond. Labs are good in chemical engineering labs are excellent. There are many chemical equipments available in labs, and Wi-Fi connections are also good. Each floor and department has separate Wi-Fi connections. Classroom infrastructure is also good. In classrooms, there are 4 fans available and 7 lights are there in the classroom. Library hours are weekly twice, if any books we want, we go to library to exchange library card.
Faculty: In college, the faculty members are like good friends. Their teaching quality is excellent. In many subjects their teaching and practical methods to understand the students easily in exams. Weekly tests and CIA monthly tests are available. Semester exams are also easy.
Other: I loved chemical engineering because I wanted to become a lab scientist and many viruses can be in our future. Chemical engineers find antibiotics that's why I chose chemical engineering. This course degree helps IT field and core field also.

B.Teach in Chemical Engineering in tier III college.
Placements: Only two companies came and selected our students for campus placement. The rest of the companies didn't even consider us as an option or came for campus interviews and never considered recruiting us. We had to do the task of getting a job by using our own efforts.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was meant to be accessed but you won't get it on campus unless you are in a hostel. Classrooms are good. The library had enough of what we needed for our syllabus and exams. The hostel was fine but it cost half the fee for your degree and the food is also not that good.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. Had supported us in many moments and guided us. Throughout the project monitored us. The course is updated according to recent regulations but the syllabus is very vast as compared to what we apply in our real life or industrial life after we graduate. Exams aren't that difficult and aren't that easy as well.

Life at Vel Tech High Tech
Placements: This college has a good internship and placement history. The highest package ever received is about $100,000, which is roughly 80,00,000 INR. The average package is about 4,00,000. Companies such as HCL, Accenture, Cognizant, Mu Sigma, Staples, Valist, etc., recruit from here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available in our department is good. You'll have a good Wi-Fi connection, and classrooms are neat and clean. Labs are also good enough. The hostel is really good and worth the money. The food quality in the mess is superb. You'll get separate restrooms in a single room, which is really appreciated. Sports and games are in your own hands.
Faculty: All the teachers are well qualified for your course and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is not too rough, and you can easily get along with it. The semester exams aren't too difficult if you constantly pay attention and understand your classes well.
Other: I chose this course because it has a really wide scope in the future. Many events will be held in this college. They'll conduct a yearly annual event named Aavishkar and cultural festivals such as Diwali, Pongal, Onam, etc.

I am dissatisfied because of the infrastructure, facilities, and placement training.
Placements: Only about 30 to 40% of the students get placed in other departments like IT, CSE, and ECE. For our course, no core company visits the campus, only software companies come for campus interviews. The highest salary package is 8 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3 to 4 LPA. About 20% of students got internshipS. Top roles offered are developer, and process designer.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi on the campus and the network coverage is also very poor, only Airtel and BSNL networks are available. The library is good and maintained well. Hostel food is not good enough, only private canteens are available for day scholars. Sports and games are not much encouraged.
Faculty: A few teachers here are friendly and qualified. We do the miniature module of those industries, reactors, and other equipment in labs. Teachers are helpful, but you have to approach them. On our own we have to prepare for examinationS, teachers will help a little, but we have to put in our efforts and don't expect them to teach us like in school.
Other: I chose chemical engineering because of the many job opportunities around the world. Rather than theoretical studies, more practical studies and internships will be more helpful.

Placements: I did my Bachelor's in Technology and my domain knowledge in Chemical Engineering and I'm a 2018 passed out.
1. ). Less than 40% of students were placed in core companies, and another 10 to 15% got placed in IT-related sectors
2. ). The highest 4LPA, the lowest 1.8 LPA Average 2.5 LPA (approximately. )
3. ). Shinsung Petrochemicals Private limited, Thirumalai Petrochemicals, Dow Chemical Company are the major recruiting companies.
4. ). Graduate Engineer trainee, Process Engineer are the roles offered.
5. The highest package is 6 LPA, the lowest 1.7 LPA and the average 3.5LPA (approximately).
6. ). Less than 30% of students got internships and the companies are Strides Shasun, Steel Authority of India Limited, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited.
Infrastructure: 1. )Good hostel rooms with single, triple & four sharing. A. C facilities available it opted, 24*7 Wi-fi facilities available, there are separate study rooms which can be 24*7 open for students.
2. ). Quality of food in hostel is can be rated at 7/10 you get Non-Veg for times a week. Good food. But the same timetable for food will be repeated every week. , Separate medical centre is available for students 24*7, Doctors will be available at day time and shift nurses are available 24*7. You don't have a separate sports facilities for hostels, the sports facility of the college can be utilised anytime.
Faculty: 1. ). The teachers of the chemical engineering department are qualified from well reputed universities. They are knowledgeable about the subjects to a particular level but they aren't pro in the stream. The teaching quality is 2.5/10
2. ). The course curriculum is relevant as the college is affiliated to Anna University. ( as mentioned above the college curriculum doesn't teach you chemical engineering as of in a premium tier college) From making the students industrially ready my course is lagging a bit. There is no advanced software skills i.e., Aspen HYSYS, UniSim, MatLab is taught in the course.
Other: 1. )I was passionate about chemical engineering so I opted it. Chemical Engineers create everything that is used in day to day life.
2. ). Things like advancement & recent hotspots of the course can be taught that can make students industry-ready
3. ). We had a single Department Conference & a single cultural fest for the whole college. It is not easily connected to the City. Campus and surroundings are peaceful.
