I wouldn't say I am satisfied but it is workable with what we've been given and we can manage.
Placements: Nobody that I know from my department has been offered any placement from the college side but they have all worked for it on their own without any help from the faculty members. The placement cell of this college is quite weak with no proper infrastructure.
Infrastructure: There are no proper medical facilities. The college ground is open to all and it is quite decent. The canteen has recently been upgraded so the food and the quality is a bit increased. However, staff members are still negligent towards their duty and sack off on it. The library although has a proper supply and stock of books. Wi-Fi service is pretty bad.
Faculty: Teachers are not helpful at all. They don't take regular classes and try to mug everything up during exam times in very little time. They make us work last minute and overburden us with all the tasks instead of giving us the proper times before the exam timing.

I'd say it needs improvement in almost all the fields.
Placements: There is no particular placement cell or department for Philosophy at our college. But we do have a student-run society that helps us get placement or gives us information about the placements, how the application process goes, and what documents we require. So, basically, as a society or a cell that is solely student-run, they're doing good.
Infrastructure: The canteen water service is bad, the only working AC rooms we have are the teacher staff room and the principal room, and not even the college admin has an AC. The library, although equipped with its Wi-Fi service and doesn't have internet access for students, it has been solely reserved for the faculty members. The food in the canteen is rather good compared to all the other things.
Faculty: Teachers take their classes when they wish it but when they take them, they take them seriously. The materials have been provided via other colleges and online materials only. Ever since the NEP application, the workload has increased drastically, adding courses that are irrelevant and time-consuming, which is completely diverted from the courses we have selected and tried to focus on. The exams are satisfactory since they are mostly from the PYQ, which helps us prepare better.

Review of Zakir Husain Delhi College, University of Delhi.
Placements: There is a high number of chances that most of the students can get a B.A. in psychology. As it is the least chosen course, the chances of getting a B.A. in psychology are slightly higher than the other courses. As discussed with seniors, the highest package that somebody got was Rs. 200,000. And followed by average, the lowest package is somewhere around 100,000 in my course. There are no such regular recruiting companies that come every year, as per my knowledge. Rather, it is different every year as discussed with my seniors. There is no student contact then she from our course because it is very difficult for colleges to get companies who can provide internships in our course, so nobody got internships, but they have tried on their own. Top roles that are offered in a course are very different and differ from what every student wants to pursue.
Infrastructure: The facility and infrastructure are very similar to every other college, and I don't think there is any difference in that, but if I have to describe it, there is no Wi-Fi facility provided by a college. Classrooms are okay, as well as the library. The canteen is the worst, saying that our college has but one thing that our college provided the best, as there is a Mother Dairy shop in our college, which is the best thing. And the other thing that I like about our college is that it is very near to the Rajiv Chowk CP, which is very efficient. If you want to hang out, then you can go whenever you want, I think at the distance of 1.5 km, and you can enjoy it there.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, well qualified, and knowledgeable, but the other things they lack from the faculty are that there is no such good thing. Let me share with you the recent incident of our college: some couple of days ago, when the college sat down or went online for classes, there was no discipline for the classes, like there was no fixed timing. I was attending classes at 8 or 9 at night. I mean, that's not good. Yes, there are some clubs for courses that really help us to understand more about the course. The event tells us about the real experience that our teacher got from that course themselves, which is really good. Semester exams are pretty much like every other DU college's. I mean, if you have studied, then you can pass it out; otherwise, you can still pass out timing; it's very easy.

It is an average college with good faculty.
Placements: Many companies conduct interviews and select a few students every month or so. They are allowed to give interviews even if they are first or second-year students. The highest salary package offered in our course is 3 LPA. People in this course usually go for different jobs since there are not many options in it, other than teacher or writer. There's been IAS and journalists in this course so, in the end, it's all up to you. I believe around 40% got internships, all are NGOs and not companies. The top role offered would be of assistant professor in a DU college but that depends on your hard work.
Infrastructure: Classrooms for the science department seem bigger. The ones for arts are small but in the end, they don't bother most of us. The new building is ready and it's really big so this issue is solved anyways. There's no ground for playful activities which is disappointing to me. There are flowers and the canteen is good with affordable price, clean and tasty food.
Faculty: Teachers in our course are understanding, helpful, and rather jolly. Ready to help anytime and not the type to hold grudges or treat good students differently. We all get treated the same. The course does not make you industry ready, but it helps you in your endeavor. It makes you a better person and you can do better for the world. The exams are rather easy for me, the course is not very tough and passing is never a problem.
Other: I chose this course because I had an interest in it and I am somewhat familiar with it. If you're thinking of taking it, get to know the subject first and then take any action. Fests are not much in our college, probably because of the lack of space for them. But other DU colleges hold different fests all year long. The crowd is good, nothing extra or out of the blue.

Review of Zakir Hussain Delhi College.
Placements: Campus placements are very good. The college supports the students in their studies and also has given special time when students come to contact with their faculty teachers. Teachers and students conduct lots of seminar for the welfare of their juniors so they get to know about it.
Infrastructure: The college campus is good but it is not well maintained. The canteen is not so spacious. There is not a single ground where we go and play our favorite sports. We have to depend on other person who gives the ground for rent. We only have played table tennis which is only one in number.
Faculty: Teachers deliver presentations, viva, and tests in our college. Marks are given based on the performance of the students not on favoritism. We got to know more about our subject when we have attended seminars regarding this subject. The passing percentage is different. We must clear both practical and theory.
Other: There are only a few teachers who are cooperative with their students in this college.

The college has really good infrastructure.
Placements: I'm currently in the 4th semester, and this course will give me an opportunity to explore more of it for sure. I can't say about placements. Many of my seniors opted for post-graduation from the same college, and many of them got placed in some companies.
Infrastructure: The hostel is not provided by our college. There are several PGs in Delhi, where students can reside. Most of them live in the areas like Laxminagar, Mukherjee Nagar, and Vijaynagar. The rent is around 3,000-4,000 per student. Food costs around 4,000 per month.
Faculty: We opted for online exams till the 3rd semester because of Corona outbreak. Exams are conducted in a good way, and we got results on time. It was based upon the OBE mode of examination. The passing percentage is 60%. I got 9.2 CGPA in 1st year. It was worth the efforts of faculty members and their way of teaching.
Other: There are several groups and societies in the college. Music society named Dhwanik is present, where many students jam together, perform classical music etc. Gatherings are made in a class or in the canteen.

Good enough for Bachlers honours .
Placements: While there has been a placement drive before the pandemic, you're pretty much on your own for it overall. Many from Economics B.Com (Hons) got job offers but they had to do it on their own based on their internships and past experiences. Still, you can't expect to get into big companies.
Infrastructure: The old building is okay-ish. The Science block is pretty nice but the art building has a lot of tiny classrooms. Either way, that is in the past since a huge multi-storey building has been constructed and we're just waiting for college to reopen. In the meantime, we're on MS Teams and that has been running smoothly.
Faculty: The teachers are incredibly helpful and care about the students. If you show up to class and ask questions, they'd love to help you out more based on your interest. Overall, the exams and course is set by the university and it has above average difficulty.
Other: Before the pandemic, campus life was not particularly great. Small campus, not much space to walk around but I suppose it's the same for most colleges. You could walk to CP in 10 minutes which was pretty great.

Faculty members of philosophy are quite nice.
Placements: Philosophy (Hons) isn't a professional degree which will fetch you a job once you learn it. However, it could be a great foundation for further pursuing law, journalism, M.A in the same subject or even opting for the teaching field. Philosophy would surely make you unique.
Infrastructure: Our college doesn't have hostel facility. The philosophy department is kind of small here, and there are limited classrooms and less faculty members. Our college canteen is good and offers food at fair prices. There is a lawn area around the canteen with quite a number of benches to sit comfortably and enjoy food.
Faculty: Teachers here are very nice and experienced. Some of them are even teaching from almost 15-20 years. Despite philosophy being a limited scope subject, these teachers will make you study it differently. They're very helpful and always guide. Every teacher is great in their respective fields.
