The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) conducts the undergraduate entrance test (UGET). The authority will release the COMEDK UGET application form in the first week of February 2027. Students appearing/passed in second PUC or 10+2 with 45% marks are eligible to apply for the exam.

COMEDK 2027: The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) conducts the undergraduate entrance test (UGET). The authority will release the COMEDK UGET application form in the first week of February 2027. Students appearing/passed in second PUC or 10+2 with 45% marks are eligible to apply for the exam. The authority will conduct the COMEDK 2027 exam in May 2027. Aspirants must prepare with the help of the COMEDK syllabus 2027. The detailed notification for COMEDK 2027 will be published on the website, comedk.org.

To apply for the exam, eligible applicants must meet the basic eligibility criteria. Moreover, registered candidates will be issued the COMEDK admit card. What is COMEDK UGET?

The authority conducts the COMEDK exam once a year in the month of May. The undergraduate engineering test (UGET) is held for engineering admission to private colleges in Karnataka. The exam is held for 3 hours and has 180 questions from physics, chemistry and mathematics. Admission to more than 20,000 seats is done through the COMEDK exam. 148 engineering institutes accept COMEDK UGET scores for admission.

Q:   Can I choose my COMEDK exam centre?

No Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka will not allow to choose their COMEDK exam centre. Candidates can only select their exam city preference at the time of filling the application form. The exam authority will allot COMEDK exam centre as per the choices filled by candidates at the time of registration.

Q:   How to calculate probable marks in COMEDK UGET?
A:

Q:   I want to write COMEDK, but it's on 9th may and so is TS EAMCET exam, what to do?

As you know, there is no slot booking for both these exams. COMEDK 2026 was conducted on May 9th in three shifts. The TS EAMCET exam was scheduled from May 9 to 11. In case of a clash you can send an email to the TG EAPCET authorities and ask for a revision of your TS EAMCET exam dates. This way, you can give both exams.

COMEDK 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants of the exam must check the COMEDK eligibility criteria 2027. Only those who fulfil the COMEDK eligibility criteria will be able to register for the exam. The eligibility criteria for COMEDK 2027 are as follows:

  • Indian Citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are eligible. However, the OCI and PIO cardholders must obtain an eligibility certificate from the affiliating university (i.e.Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi).

  • Students must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject in second PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination recognised by the State / Central Government.

  • General Merit candidates should have a minimum aggregate of 45% marks ( 40% for SC/ST/OBC of Karnataka state) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and passed these subjects individually.

  • Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science, or Electronics as one of the optional subjects. However, changes, if any, in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE/VTU will be adopted.

COMEDK Application Form 2027

The Consortium will release the COMEDK 2027 application form online. Candidates will have to create their COMEDK login by providing basic information to be able to fill out the COMEDK application form. The COMEDK 2027 registration process will include providing basic details, entering educational details, uploading the documents and paying the application fee. Applicants must submit the completed COMEDK UGET application form before the deadline. The authority will announce the COMEDK registration dates 2027 online. The COMEDK application fee for PCM is Rs 1950+ convenience charges, and to apply for both COMEDK AND UNI-GAUGE-E, students have to pay Rs 3200+ convenience charges.
