CEE Assam is conducted by the Assam Science and Technology University for students seeking admission to various BTech courses offered at Assam BTech Colleges. Every student should follow the preparation tips to crack the Assam CEE exam. To start preparation, one should know the relevant books, topics and a plan in place. The preliminary guidelines in Assam CEE 2020, includes review pattern. There are three sections - Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
To better understand the test, I have mentioned the following section-wise preparatory tips for Assam CEE.
Tips for Physics
Assam CEE's Physics section consists of 40 questions. For every correct answer, 4 marks are given. The time duration for this section is 60 minutes.

- Aspirant(s) could spare at least 10 minutes to revisit the answers and attempt unanswered queries.
- Learn all the formulae and derivatives as these would help in solving the problems easily.
- Aspirants could learn easy tricks to calculate some common log values, square roots, cubes, etc. faster as this would help in saving time and enhancing accuracy.
- Take daily training sessions as this would help to gain precision in solving the issues.
- Try to solve every question within the minimum time possible
- Take guidance and assistance from mentors for clarifying the doubts.
- Several problems such as Wave Motion, Electrostatics, Hot and Thermodynamics, Current Energy, Rotational Motions and Motion Laws are required to be practiced repeatedly.
Chemistry
Assam CEE's Chemistry section consists of 40 questions. The time duration for this section is 60 minutes.
- It is considered simple for applicants to plan the Physical Chemistry section well.
- Give extra time to Organic Chemistry.
- Make short notes while preparing a topic. The notes should be precise and concise.
- Memorise the periodic table along with atomic numbers and the mass of elements as this would help in saving time.
- Understand the break-up to memorise a chemical reaction and equation.
- The main topics of Chemistry are the Blocks, Transition Elements, Blocks d and f, Chemical Bonding, Biochemical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Kinetics, and Carboxylic Acid and its derivatives.
Mathematics
Assam CEE's Math section also consists of 40 questions that should be answered in 60 minutes.
- Learn to imagine 3D geometry problems during preparation.
- Clarify the basic concepts to get a grip on the subject.
- Practice and learn formulae frequently.
- First, read and understand each problem thoroughly and then solve it accordingly
- Practice previous years question papers and mock tests to enhance speed and accuracy
- The important topics for this section are Vectors, 3D Geometry, Probable, Permutation and Combination, Specified Integration and Complex Numbers.
