Assam CEE 2026 exam pattern will be released soon online at astu.ac.in. Through the Assam CEE exam pattern 2026, the candidates will be able to check the important details of how the examination will be conducted, i.e., the examination mode, duration, sections, type of questions, total number of questions, marking scheme and more. Before commencing the preparation process, the candidates are advised to check the official Assam CEE exam pattern, so that they become familiar with how the authorities will prepare the question paper. This will allow the candidates to prepare well and perform better in Assam CEE 2026. According to the exam pattern of Assam CEE 2026, the examination will be conducted as a pen-and-paper-based test. During the 3-hour exam, the candidates will have to attempt 120 objective multiple-choice questions. Q:   What is the mode of Assam CEE?
A: 

The authorities will conduct Assam CEE as a pen-and-paper-based test. The offline test will be held at various centres for all registered and eligible Assam CEE candidates. For every question, there will be various options available and the candidates will have to select the correct one. The answer has to be marked carefully on the OMR sheet. The candidates will be provided with the OMR sheets and pen for the entrance examination.

Q:   What is the marking scheme of Assam CEE?
A: 

The authorities will release the official marking scheme through the Assam CEE exam pattern. Candidates will be allotted four marks for every correct answer. If the candidates have marked an incorrect answer, then the authorities will deduct one mark. Unattempted questions will not be marked. Since there is negative marking in Assam CEE, the candidates are advised to be careful while attempting the questions. It is important for the candidates to be familiar with the official marking scheme before the examination.

Q:   Is it mandatory to attempt all of the questions in Assam CEE?
A: 

No. It is not mandatory for the candidates to attempt all of the questions in the Assam CEE paper. Since there is negative marking, the candidates are advised to check carefully and answer those questions which they are sure about. By choosing those questions for which they know the correct answers, the candidates will have higher chances of avoiding negative marking and performing well in the entrance exam. 

Q:   Will there be any break between the Assam CEE exam duration?
A: 

No. The authorities will not provide any breaks to the candidates in between the Assam CEE examination. The entrance exam will be conducted for 3 hours without any break and during the exam duration, the candidates will have to answer 120 multiple-choice questions from various topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. All candidates will be required to complete the examination within the allotted duration and no extra time will be provided. If the candidates are unable to solve all questions within the time limit, then the left over questions will be categorised as unattempted.

Assam CEE 2026 Syllabus

Assam CEE 2026 syllabus will consist of the subjects, topics and units that the candidates have to prepare for the exam. It is to be noted that the Assam CEE syllabus will be based on the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) syllabus. It is important for the candidates to refer to the official Assam CEE syllabus 2026 so that they are well prepared for the exam. The syllabus will consist of topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Q:   What is the level of the syllabus of Assam CEE?

Students can consider Assam CEE syllabus to be moderate to tough in the terms of difficulty level. Since the subjects, units and topics of Assam CEE are syllabus to the 11th and 12th standard qualifying exam, the students are expected to have previously studied it. The syllabus consists of the topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. During the preparation process, the students are advised to check the syllabus and referred books. The additional books will allow the students to have a higher understanding of the syllabus.

Q:   What is the Assam CEE syllabus?

The authorities will not release the Assam CEE syllabus online. The subjects, topics and units to be studied for the entrance examination is similar to the syllabus of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council/NCERT. Therefore, the candidates are advised to check the mentioned syllabus to be prepared for Assam CEE. The candidates will have to study various topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from the 12th standard qualifying entrance examination.

Q:   What is the duration of Assam CEE?
A: 

According to the official Assam CEE exam pattern, the examination will be of 3 hours. During the duration, the candidates will have to attempt 120 objective multiple-choice questions. It is to be noted that no extra time will be allotted to the candidates to complete the examination. Candidates are advised to work on their time management skills so that they are able to complete the examination within the allotted duration. However, since there is negative marking, the candidates are advised to be careful while choosing the questions to answer. 

Q:   Will the authorities allot partial marks in Assam CEE on the basis of the steps taken to derive the answer, even if its wrong?
A: 

No. The authorities will not give any partial marking to the candidates based on the steps taken to derive the answer. If the final answer is incorrect, the candidates will experience negative marking even if their steps were correct. Since the entrance examination is objective and multiple-choice in nature, only the final answer marked in the OMR sheet will matter to the authorities. Therefore, the candidates are advised to carefully check the questions during the exam before answering it.

Q:   What is the medium of language for Assam CEE?
A: 

As per the official exam pattern, Assam CEE will be held in two languages - English and Assamese. The official Assam CEE question paper will be available in both English and Assamese to the candidates. This is done to ensure that the candidates do not face any problems in understanding the question paper. After reading the questions, the candidates will have to check the available options and select their choice of answer and mark in on the given OMR sheet.
