Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is a public university in New Delhi. The institution was founded in 1920 and is recognised by the UGC and certified by the NAAC with an 'A' grade. Every year, admission to Jamia Millia Islamia begins in the month of April. For all courses, the admissions procedure is entirely online. Applicants must register on the university's official website. The university's entrance test determines admission to the majority of UG, PG, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and PhD programs. The institution accepts national-level entrance exams like JEE Main, NATA, and NEET for admission to BTech, B.Arch, and BDS programs. On the basis of CUET scores, Jamia Millia Islamia would admit students to some specialities of BA (Hons), BSc (Hons), and BVoc.

At the undergraduate level, Jamia Millia Islamia provides a variety of majors in Engineering, Science, Arts, Law, Commerce, and Management, among others. The courses are available for three to four years. The primary qualifying requirement for all UG programs is the completion of the 10 2 from a recognised board of education. Admission to most UG programs is based on the Jamia Entrance Test, while others are based on national-level entrance exam scores.

Postgraduate programs at Jamia Millia Islamia include the Arts, Science, Engineering, Design, Law, and Management, among others. The courses are available for a two-year period. A bachelor's degree in relevant specialisation from a recognised institution or institute is the baseline eligibility condition for all PG programs. The Jamia Entrance Test is used to determine admission to most PG programs. Certain MA and M.Sc programs at Jamia accept CUET PG grades for admission.

Admission to MPhil and PhD programs is based on a written test administered by JMI, followed by an interview and examination of research proposals. A master's degree with a minimum of 55% in the relevant discipline is required for admission. Except for language subjects, the JMI PhD. The admission examination is held in English. To be considered for the interview, students must pass both sections A and B. Qualifying in the entrance exam does not entitle the candidate to admission.
