A total of 60-70 percent of students are placed. 1.3 crores package is the highest, and 11 LPA is around the average package. All major companies came for recruitment (FAANG and all). Hostel facilities are pretty good except in some 1st year rooms, AC and attached washrooms are available with attached balcony, mess food is provided by French company Sudexo. Extra-curricular activities rooms are also present in hostels. Overall crowd is also good.

Although the median salary has declined from INR 22 LPA in 2022–23 to INR 18.5 LPA in 2023–24 and INR 17 LPA in 2024–25, the rate of decline slowed from 15.9% to 8.1% year-on-year, indicating stabilising placement outcomes amid changing market conditions.

IIT Bhubaneswar offers UG, PG, and PhD courses through seven schools of study. At the UG level, the university offers four-year BTech and five-year dual degree programmes, namely BTech + MTech. The institute offers two-year MTech and MSc courses. IIT Bhubaneswar also offers PhD courses in 15 specialisations. The mode of IIT Bhubaneswar admission is online. MNNIT Allahabad selects students for BTech based on valid JEE Main score. They are allotted seats through JoSAA Counselling. Admission to M.Tech is through GATE, followed by CCMT Counselling. Similarly for MSc admission, IIT JAM and CCMN Counselling are required. However, NIT Allahabad MBA admissions are based on CAT score and the shortlisted candidates have to appear for the PI round.
