Good placements and campus life.
Placements: HIT Haldia has around 85–92% placements for CSE and ECE. The highest package is 33 LPA, the average package is 5–5.5 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, and Synopsys. Around 75% of students get internships at Oracle, HPL, or TCS. The top roles offered are SDE, Cloud Associate, and VLSI Engineer.
Infrastructure: The campus has high-speed Wi-Fi, modern labs (VLSI and programming), digital classrooms, and a large central library. Hostels provide clean rooms with a 24/7 power supply. The mess and canteen serve decent Bengali food. On-campus medical facilities and sports grounds are excellent.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, with many being IIT or NIT alumni, and are approachable. The teaching style is traditional, but the curriculum is updated with modern technologies. Self-study is important for industry readiness. Semester exams are moderate. The pass rate is 95–98%.
Other: The college is chosen for its career scope and coding culture. It has a strong peer network, active technical clubs, and stable placements. Areas for improvement include more flexibility in attendance rules to allow time for personal projects. The campus has good fests like Prayukti, an active sports culture, and a green environment.

College is good. Would recommend. Placements are good.
Placements: Around 90–95% of students get placed on average. The highest package offered is 12–27 LPA, and 40+ LPA for off-campus placements. The average package stands at 5–6 LPA, and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. The top recruiting company is TCS. Around 96.4% of students intern at TCS. The main roles offered are Software Developer and Backend Developer.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are adequate, clean, and usable. Some are old and may need repair. The quality of facilities and food is satisfactory. Medical facilities, sports, and games are available and well-maintained. The food could be better.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and helpful. The teaching quality is satisfactory. The course curriculum is relevant and covers the syllabus. It makes students industry-ready. However, more focus should be given to practical-based learning. Semester exams are of average difficulty. The pass percentage is around 85–90%.
Other: I chose this course because it helps test logical skills. The course provides adequate knowledge of engineering subjects. More focus should be given to lab-based learning. Fests and sports are organized.

Boys hostel should be made available for all the years.
Placements: I am Suraj Burnwal from Haldia Institute of technology B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. The placement is above average in our college and this year the highest package is of approximately 14 LPA from the AEIE batch and the average package is 4 to 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Wipro, Byjus, Haldia Petrochemical, TCS, Accenture, etc. Internship is also provided by the college to the students more or less. If you are capable you can make it.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good or average you can say. Playgrounds are regularly maintained and the sports instruments are also well equipped. The labs are also average. Some are damaged but can be ignored. Library is quite big and there are lots of books which students require for their curriculum. The hostels are also well maintained and cleaned every week and the food is also average. There is one issue that only first year boys have access to hostels and rest outside.
Faculty: Teachers are helping nature well qualified and most of the PhD holders are very knowledgeable, but the CSE teachers are most hated by the students as this is a new subject not easy to understand. The course is curriculum relevant, and it makes the students ready for the industry. Semester exams as told by the seniors are not that hard and the students also get the question bank from the faculty to prepare.
Other: I have secured a good name and I have heard about Haldia as a good college in West Bengal. I have chosen CSE at Haldia. Most students choose CSE for better placement so my motive behind this is the same. Events are quite irregular due to the interruption of seniors, and campus life is average but better than the other private and some government colleges of West Bengal. Swami Vivekananda Scholarship is given to the students of West Bengal, and there are extracurricular activities like sports, music, media worker etc.
