What is DASA PG?
DASA, also known as the Direct Admission of Students Abroad scheme, allows foreign nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian origin (PIOs), and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) to pursue technical education in India. The Ministry of Education first introduced the scheme in May 2001.
DASA allows students to be admitted to various undergraduate and postgraduate engineering programs at National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other centrally funded technical institutions, excluding IITs. Through DASA PG 2025, admissions are provided to M.Tech programs of NITs, IIITs, IIEST, Central Universities, School of Planning and Architecture (SPAs) and other institutes. However, candidates must have a valid GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) scorecard to qualify for the program.
