GAT-B Question Paper Pattern

The National Testing Agency conducts GAT-B (Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology) for admission to MSc and MTech in Biotechnology. The GAT-B question paper is divided into two sections: "A" and "B." GAT-B is conducted for a total of 240 marks. According to GAT-B exam pattern, questions are asked in MCQ format. The detailed GAT-B question paper structure can be checked below:

Section "A" consists of 60 questions of 1 mark each from 10+2 level of Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology
Section "B" consist of 100 questions of 3 marks each, where candidates have to attempt at least 60 questions. The questions are asked from graduate/bachelor's level in the subjects: Basic Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology and Allied areas as per the syllabus
According to the marking scheme, GAT-B has negative marking for incorrect responses. For every wrong answer, -1 mark is deducted

BET Question Paper Pattern

The Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) is a national-level exam conducted for admission to Junior Research Fellowship. According to the BET exam question paper, the questions are asked in a multiple-choice format and are divided into two sections:

Section "A" consists of a total of 50 questions of 3 marks each. The MCQs are asked from General Science, Maths, Chemistry, General Aptitude, Analytical, Quantitative Ability, and General Ability. The total marks allotted for Section "A" are 150 marks
Section "B" consists of specific areas of Biotechnology as per the GAT-B/BET syllabus
