IPU CET 2026 is an entrance exam for admission to various courses offered by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). Since the exam is highly competitive, it is important to get a good score for a higher chance of admission to the university. Know your Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Before starting preparation, candidates must check IPU CET exam pattern. By knowing pattern, candidates will also be able to know how examination will be conducted and more. Details regarding mode of exam, duration, marking scheme, and more will also be released through exam pattern. Along with exam pattern, candidates must check official IPU CET syllabus. This will allow the candidates to know which units and topics have to be studied for the examination.

Prepare Personal Timetable

Candidates must create a personal timetable to plan study schedule. By creating a timetable, candidates can divide time equally among all subjects, units and topics that must be studied. Equal distribution of hours to different subjects can also be done if candidates create a timetable carefully. It is to be noted that timetable must have some hours allotted towards revision, mock tests and extracurricular studies. 

Mock Tests are Essential

Candidates should include solving mock tests in timetable regularly. Mock tests will help candidates understand current preparation level and accordingly create a strategy to help them overcome shortcomings. By writing down those points which they have a hard time understanding, candidates will be able to have more clarity and revise them whenever and wherever they wish to. Do Not Be Afraid to Communicate

Candidates must not be afraid to communicate doubts to those who are in charge. In case of any trouble regarding study material, candidates must contact teachers and clear doubts. Candidates are also encouraged to communicate with friends and discuss those topics which they are having a hard time with. This will ensure that the candidates have a clear mind and all of questions are answered.

Good Health Is Important

Along with taking care of studies, candidates must take care of health. healthy body and mind are important to achieve good results in examination. There are fewer chances of candidates performing well in examination if they are physically and mentally tired. Therefore, candidates must have good sleep routine and diet. Healthy foods and fruits should be consumed, and candidates must participate in extra-curricular activities to keep mental health stable.

Time management

After knowing pattern and syllabus, make a proper timetable to divide the time equally for each of the subjects. Time management is the key to scoring better marks in the entrance test. 

Early Preparation

The earlier you start preparing for exam, more time you will have to cover entire syllabus and practice as many questions as possible.

Revision is Important

Daily revision is very essential during the preparation period. By revising regularly, the candidates will have lesser chances of forgetting what they had earlier studied. The revision also helps the candidates to understand difficult topics and units since they will continuously go over them. Many examination toppers and experts consider revision as an important part of the preparation and it should never be overlooked.

  • Candidates must prepare with the help of some other reference books other than the NCERT textbooks. This will help them understand the topics better.
  • For the General Awareness section, candidates must read newspapers, books on current affairs, etc.
  • For English Comprehension, candidates must be proficient in the English language and need to practice grammar and vocabulary daily.
  • For Logical & Analytical Reasoning, candidates must spend more time learning.

IPU CET Question Paper Pattern

IPU CET question paper will have 100 objective-type questions. Each question will carry four options, out of which only one option will be correct. Candidates are required to mark correct one on OMR sheet. The questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology for BTech (BioTechnology).
