LPUPET PG 2026: Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

LPUPET or Lovely Professional University conducts the Physical Efficiency Test is a BEd entrance exam. It is a talent-based Physical Education entrance exam. Each student appearing for LPUPET has to qualify for the physical fitness test with a minimum of 40 percent to be eligible for admission to the university. The candidate’s sports achievement is also given weightage. 

LPUPET is only accepted by Lovely Professional University. LPUPET offers multiple programs:

• BSc (Health and Physical Education)
• BSc (Health and Physical Education) [Lateral Entry]
• Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (BPES)
• BPEd
• MPEd

LPUPET requires candidates to meet eligibility criteria before applying for exam. 

LPUPET Eligibility 

BPEd

• Pass with 50% aggregate marks in a Bachelor's degree (any discipline) and having at least participation in the Inter College or Inter Zonal or District, or School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU or IOA or SGFI or Govt. of India or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUPET. OR
• Pass with 45% aggregate marks in a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUPET. OR 

• Pass with 45% aggregate marks in a Bachelor's degree (any discipline) with Physical Education as a compulsory or elective subject or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUPET. OR

• Pass with 45% aggregate marks in Bachelor's degree and participated in National or Inter-University or State competitions or secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in Inter College or Inter-Zonal or District or School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU or IOA or SGFI or Govt. of India or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUPET. OR

• Pass in Bachelor's degree with participation in International Competitions or secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in National or Inter-University competition in sports and games as recognized by respective federations or AIU or IOA or SGFI or Govt. of India or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUPET. OR

• Pass with 45% aggregate marks in Graduation and at least three years of teaching experience for deputed in-service candidates (i.e. trained physical education teachers or coaches), subject to qualifying LPUPET.

Note: Medical Fitness Certificate (as per university prescribed format) is compulsory

Important: 5% relaxation for SC or ST or OBC applicants [Any one of the relaxations shall apply to candidates having achievements in sports]. 

MPEd

• Pass with 50% aggregate marks in BPEd or BSc. in Health and Physical Education or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUPET.
  
• (5% relaxation for SC or ST or OBC applicants) 

Note: Medical Fitness Certificate (as per university prescribed format) is Compulsory.

BSc Health and Physical Education

• Pass in 10+2 or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUPET.
• Physical Efficiency Test (LPUPET) will be conducted to determine the general level of Physical Efficiency. Therefore, the applicants need not undergo any kind of coaching. 

Note: Medical Fitness Certificate (as per university prescribed format) is Compulsory.

Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports

• Pass in 10+2 or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUPET.
• Physical Efficiency Test (LPUPET) will be conducted to determine the general level of Physical Efficiency. Therefore, the applicants need not undergo any kind of coaching. 

Note: Medical Fitness Certificate (as per university prescribed format) is Compulsory.

How to Apply for LPUPET 2027?

Candidates can complete LPUPET registration by following these steps:

• Visit official LPU admission portal.

• Register using your name, email ID and mobile number.

• Log in using generated credentials.

• Fill in personal, academic and contact details.

• Upload required documents.

• Submit application form.

• Download and save confirmation page for future reference.

LPUPET Syllabus

The LPUPET syllabus includes physical activities that candidates must perform to qualify for exam. Each task must be completed within a specified time limit. Exact duration for different activities will likely be announced at the test venue. Candidates can review the list of activities they will need to perform as part of the test below:

The Physical Efficiency Test will include:

• 50 meters sprint. Standing Broad Jump. Overhead back throw {Medicine ball Men (3 Kg.) & Women (2 Kg.)}
• 1000 meters run/walk.
• Applicant must bring their own sports kit to appear in the Physical efficiency test, failing to do so they will not be eligible for the test.

LPUPET 2027 Preparation Tips

Although LPUPET is not a written examination, candidates should prepare well to perform their best during the Physical Efficiency Test.

Improve Physical Fitness

Regular exercise helps improve stamina, flexibility, and overall fitness. Candidates should maintain a consistent workout routine before the examination.

Practise Running Daily

Activities such as sprinting and endurance running are an important part of the Physical Efficiency Test. Daily practice can improve speed and endurance.

Focus on Strength Training

Simple strength exercises can help candidates perform better in activities such as the standing broad jump and medicine ball throw.

You will get your LPU PET admit card right after you book your exam slot. The hall ticket will be sent to your registered email ID.

The LPUPET results are announced on the LPU admit portal. The LPU PET result is prepared based on each candidate’s performance in Physical Efficiency Test. Those who qualify in LPUPET will be eligible for admission to the following courses –

• BSc (Health and Physical Education)
• BSc (Health and Physical Education)
• Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (BPES)
• BPEd
• MPEd

LPU holds counselling for Physical Education courses after candidates pass LPUPET or LPUNEST exam. They must also meet the academic and sports eligibility requirements for their chosen course. The programs offered include BPEd, BSc Health & Physical Education, MPEd, and PhD, and some may also include an interview.
