The JEST 2022 application form was released on December 18, 2021, onwards through online mode. The last date to apply for JEST was February 1. Candidates will have to apply online by clicking on the link given on this page below. The JEST 2022 exam was conducted on March 13 by IISER Kolkata.  Originally, the last date to submit the JEST 2022 application form was January 18, which was postponed twice, to January 25 and further to February 1.

Steps to Fill JEST 2022 Application Form

Candidates can go through the steps that they need to follow in order to successfully fill and submit the application form for the JEST 2022 exam. 

Step 1: Create a Registration ID

In order to fill JEST 2021 application form aspirants needed to provide their Email ID, password, name and date of birth. Once, these details are provided, candidates received an email containing account information after registering with a valid email ID. This email would also contain a verification link. For this, candidates had to visit the official website of JEST or directly enter the link on the browser - https://www.jest.org.in/user/register

Step 2: Fill Details in JEST Application Form

After candidates verified their email ID, they were led to the application form for the JEST exam. Information that candidates needed to provide in the JEST application form are mentioned below:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Mobile number
  • Address
  • Qualifying exam
  • Year of passing
  • Programme preference
  • College preference
  • Test centre preference
  • Parents'/guardians' details

Step 3: Upload Important Documents

Aspirants needed to upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature with their Joint Entrance Screening Test application form.

The official JEST website also informed: “Before uploading your photo and signature files, make sure you have given it a good name.  File names should use alphabets, underscores, and numbers only.  Special characters such as spaces, (, #, &, punctuation, etc., should not be used in filenames.  If you use a logical naming system, like loginname_date_photo.jpg, loginname_date_sig.jpg then it will be printed without any errors. In case the jpeg file of your photo which has been taken with a camera exceeds the limit, you should compress the file size using compression software available in the websites, such as http://jpeg-optimizer.com, http://www.imageoptimizer.net. Your signature can be scanned with a digital scanner and saved as a jpeg file for uploading. In case this file size produced by scanner also exceeds 100 kB limit, you can compress it using the same tools as explained above”.

Step 4: Pay JEST Application Fee

Aspirants could pay the application fee for the JEST exam online by means of a Debit card/Credit card and Net-banking. Any other payment mode would not be accepted.

Step 5: Submit & Print JEST Application Form

After the candidate completed all the above-mentioned steps they needed to click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the registration process for the JEST exam. Once candidates successfully submitted their registration form online they received an email on their registered email address containing their “application data after final submission containing Unique Submission Number and filled in data”, informed the official website. Aspirants had to download and keep this information safely for future reference. In a scenario wherein candidates do not receive such an email notification after submission of the JEST application form and completing e-payment of the JEST application fee then they need to contact JEST authorities and inform the same immediately.

Q. Is the application fee for the JEST examination refundable?

A. Once you have paid the application fee for JEST, you will not be refunded the amount under any circumstances.

A. Candidates belonging to the General category needed to pay INR 400 as the JEST 2022 application fee.

Q. How much is the JEST application fee for SC/ST aspirants?

A. Those who belong to this category needed to make a payment of INR 200 as the application fee for JEST 2022.
