KCET 2022 Latest News and Updates - The Karnataka Examinations Authority has released the KCET second round seat allotment result at the official website. Applicants appearing for the counselling process can check the KCET round 2 seat allotment result through CET application number and password. Earlier, the exam authority has released the KCET round 1 seat allotment on October 29 at the official website. KCET 2022 web option entry was started on October 14 on the official website kea.kar.nic.in and concluded on October 19. Earlier, the option entry was supposed to begin on October 11. The seat matrix was displayed on October 10, 2022 at the official website of KEA.

The process of document verification started on October 7, 2022, and students can get their documents verified till October 8, 2022. Candidates who have not verified their documents also appeared for the verification process on October 11, 2022, with all the necessary original documents.

KCET 2022 revised rank list was released on October 1, 2022. Seat Matrix was released by KEA on September 13, 2022. The document verification process started on August 22, 2022 and concluded on September 7, 2022. It was held in three sessions. The whole schedule of document verification is available on the official website at kea.kar.nic.in.

The high court of Karnataka has taken up the hearing on the plea regarding the KCET 2022 ranks and repeaters issue on September 22, 2022. The previous hearing took place on September 19, 2022. A final verdict on KCET 2022 ranks will be given by the Karnataka High Court on September 23, 2022. At the final hearing, a two-judge bench consisting of acting chief justice Alok Aradhe and justice S Vishwajith Shetty accepted the expert committee recommendations of evaluating the repeaters after deducting 6 marks from their overall qualifying examination marks in physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

The plea was made by the state government regarding the rankings of the KCET 2022 exam. Regarding this, a special division bench of the Karnataka High Court will be hearing the plea and it is scheduled for September 19, 2022. The Karnataka High Court on Saturday (September 3, 2022) directed the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) to redo the rankings by taking II Pre-University (PU) marks and CET-2022 marks in the ratio of 50:50, even for the students who passed II PU in 2021.

The Karnataka High Court hearing on the petition pertaining to the KCET 2022 repeaters issue took place on August 22, 2022, but no decision has been taken in the court hearing. The judgement has been reserved and the final decision is expected to be pronounced on September 1, 2022. The previous hearing took place on August 18, 2022. It was suggested by the High Court that the government figure out if 75% weightage for CET marks and 25% weightage for PUC marks is feasible.

Some section of students approached the Karnataka High Court claiming that the KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority) had sent them a note which states that their PUC 2020–2021 marks will not be taken into account for the college admissions through KCET. The KCET 2022 result was declared by the KEA on July 30, 2022.

KCET 2022 exam was held from June 16 to 17 as a pen-and-paper-based test. KCET 2022 application form was available from April 18 to 20. Registered candidates were able to access the KCET 2022 application correction facility from May 21 to 24. Candidates who qualify the entrance examination will be eligible for BTech admissions into the participating institutes of the state. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank, preferences and seat availability. KCET 2022 counselling will commence from August 8.
