Stages of IBPS RRB Cut off
IBPS RRB cut off for Office Assistant is released in two stages: preliminary and mains exam. While the cut off for Officers Scale I is published in three stages-preliminary, mains and final allotment. IBPS RRB cut off for Officers Scale II and III is released in two stages-single level examination and final allotment.
IBPS RRB Prelims Cut off
The cut off for the prelims exam is released for Officers Scale I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) posts. The prelims exam for the post of Office Assistant and Officers Scale I comprises two sections, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. IBPS RRB cut off for this stage is calculated out of 80 marks.

The provisional allotment cut off is decided based on the candidate’s performance in the mains exam and interview for Officers Scale I posts. IBPS RRB provisional allotment cut off for Office Assistant is prepared based on the mains exam only. The allotment cut off for Officers Scale II and III is determined based on a single-level exam and interview. On the basis of IBPS RRB cut off for provisional allotment, candidates are appointed in any one of the RRBs depending on the number of vacancies and merit-cum-preference. IBPS RRB prelims exam is expected to be high due to the increase in competition for the job profile. It is important to score as many marks as possible to beat the competition. A general threshold limit for a good score is 70 marks. In the reasoning section, candidates should attempt at least 30 to 35 out of the 40 questions. In the Quant section too, candidates must attempt 30 to 35 questions with 100 per cent accuracy.
For the IBPS RRB PO interview, a total of 100 marks are allotted. The weightage of the Online Examination to the Interview is 80:20, respectively. Candidates need to secure 40 per cent in the interview. While for those belonging to ST/SC/OBC/PWD categories, the qualifying percentage is slightly lower at 35 per cent. The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. Minimum qualifying marks in interview is not less than 40 per cent (35 per cent for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates). The relative weightage given to the Mains exam and Interview for the provisional allotment is 80:20 respectively for the Officers cadre. The combined final score of candidates is arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the Mains for the post of Officers Scale I and in the Single Level Examination for the post of Officers Scale II and III and Interview. Interview score of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview or further process is not disclosed. Candidates should qualify both in the Mains exam and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process. The provisional allotment is done based on merit-cum-preference. For Officers in Scale I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the provisional allotment is restricted within the RRBs of the State opted for.
In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same score, merit order is decided as per date of birth (the candidate senior in age is placed before/ above the candidate junior in age), as per the prevailing practice
Scores obtained by candidates in IBPS RRB exam are calculated based on the marking scheme. The marking scheme is prescribed by the examination authority. IBPS RRB marking scheme is given below:
- Each correct answer typically carries 1 mark
- For every incorrect answer, there is a penalty of 0.25 marks (1/4th of the mark assigned to that question)

Yes, separate IBPS RRB admit cards are issued for prelims and Mains exams. The prelims admit card is released for all the registered candidates. The Mains admit card is released for candidates who qualifies the prelims exam.
