The NTA exam application process for all its exams remains the same, more or less. There can be some additional requirements for verification or authentication for certain exams if needed. The usual steps of the NTA exam application process are as follows:

Step 1: Registration

The first step includes registration with verification of OTP. In this step, candidates are usually required to enter their name, date of birth, city, email ID, password creation and mobile phone number. Once these details are entered, candidates are verified with an OTP sent to the mobile number. Once the OTP is verified, candidates can proceed to fill out the application form.

Step 2: NTA exam application form

The details to be filed in the application form will vary for all NTA exams. However, in most exams, candidates are required to fill in their preference of exam city for taking the exam, academic details, and some personal details.

Step 3: Upload scanned documents

Most of the registration process for all the NTA exams includes the candidates uploading a scanned copy of their passport-sized image and signature. Some NTA exam application processes may include uploading of some additional documents, if needed.

Step 4: Payment of application fee

Most of the application process for the NTA exams is completed after the payment of the required application fee. The application fee for NTA exams will vary for all exams.

The NTA exam application fee is usually payable online only using the payment gateway available at the end of the application process.

NTA releases the JEE Main application form online on the official website of JEE Main. The JEE Main 2026 application form can be checked at jeemain.nta.nic.in once released. The NTA JEE Main 2026 registration process includes steps like:

Step 1 - NTA JEE Main 2026 Registration: In the first step, candidates must complete the JEE Main 2026 registration process at jeemain.nta.nic.in. 

Step 2 - Filling of NTA JEE Main 2026 Application Form: Next, candidates will have to select their nationality, category, session of exam applying for, question paper medium and choice of test cities.

Step 3 - Uploading of Scanned Documents: After filling out the form, candidates will have to upload their scanned documents, i.e., photograph and signature. If applicable, the category certificate and PwD certificate also have to be uploaded.

Step 4 - Payment of NTA JEE Main Application Fee 2026: Next, candidates will have to pay the JEE Main 2026 application fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI as per their category and the number of selected papers.

Step 5 - Print out Confirmation Page: Finally, candidates will have to print out the confirmation page for future use.

NTA CMAT application form 2026 can be accessed online on the official website - exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT/. NTA CMAT registration process 2026 includes the following five steps:

NTA conducts the UGC NET exam in December and June. The NTA UGC NET application form for both sessions is released separately.
