RRB Group D Exam Date 2026: Check Group D Railway Exam Schedule

RRB Group D dates 2025 was conducted from November 27, 2025 to February 10, 2026. The exam dates carries the dates events related to the exam such as the application dates, result dates, admit card dates, etc. Candidates should keep the important dates handy so that they do not miss out any important event related to the exam.

The short RRB Group D 2026 notification was released by the examination authority. The detailed notification was released on January 31. It comprises the details related to the exam. Candidates must read the notification before applying.

RRB Group D admit card is released four days before the exam. They need to download their hall tickets by logging with the required credentials. Candidates need to carry their admit cards along with one photo-identity proof to the exam centre.

The application status displays whether the application form of candidates are accepted or rejected for the recruitment exam. Those whose RRB Group D application forms are accepted are issued admit card for appearing in the exam.

The shift timings of RRB Group D exam are made available by exam body. The prelims exam is conducted in four shifts. The mains exam is held in two shifts. The details related to the exam centre are mentioned in the admit card.

RRB Group D selection process comprises CBT, PET/PST, Document Verification and Medical Exam. The PET/PST is qualifying in nature. Though PET/PST is qualifying in nature, candidates are required to clear it. There is weightage of marks for this stage. The final selection of candidates is done based on CBT provided they qualify PET/PST, medical exam and document verification. Medical exam is conducted by the railway hospitals.

The CBT of RRB Group D comprises questions from General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness and Current Affairs. The CBT of RRB Group D exam comprises four sections-General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness and Current Affairs. Total marks allotted to CBT are 100. Based on the marks obtained in CBT, candidates are called for PET. The PET is qualifying in nature. Those who qualify the PET are called for document verification. Final empanellment of candidates is done based on the performance in CBT subject to their qualifying the document verification and medical exam. RRB Group D application form 2025 was released on January 23, 2025 by the Railway Recruitment Boards. RRB Group D application form should be filled online only. The application fee is INR 500 (for all candidates except the fee concession categories). The fee for PwBD/Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen/SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class is INR 250. Candidates can pay the fee both online and offline. Candidates are not required to sent the hard copy of the application form.

RRB Group D notification 2025 was released by the Railway Recruitment Boards. The notification was released in PDF form and comprises the details related to the exam. The selection process of RRB Group D comprises Computer Based Test,  Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST), Document Verification and Medical Exam. CCAAs trained in railway establishment are given due weightage of marks obtained in NCVT for preparation of the final merit list. They are also exempted from PET/PST.

RRB Group D Probation period is 2 years. Candidates will have to take the training for a period of 2 years, and then will be able to start their job as an RRB Group D Officer.

RRB Group D CBT question paper will be available in 15 languages: Hindi, English, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu. The language of the paper is based on the region or the specific exam. But the majority of Railway Recruitment Board papers will be in the official language of the state in which the exam is conducted. For example, if the exam is taking place in Tamil Nadu, the paper is likely to be in Tamil. Likewise, if the exam is taking place in Kolkata, the language of the question paper will be in Bengali. Candidates can choose the exam language while filling out the application form.
