TNTET 2025: The Teachers Recruitment Board of Government of Tamil Nadu extended the application process for TNTET 2025 exam. The last date to apply was September 10 instead of September 8. The last date for making fee payment was also September 10. The TNTET application form was released on August 11. Candidates who have not yet applied and apply from the official website at trb.tn.gov.in. A direct link to apply is also provided below. Candidates required to pay INR 600 (unreserved/OBC) and INR 300 (SC/ST) as TNTET application fees. As per the official notification the Teachers Recruitment Board of Government of Tamil Nadu revised the examination dates due to the administrative reasons. The TNTET 2025 Paper 1 exam will be conducted on November 15 and Paper 2 on November 16, 2025. The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) released the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) notification on the official website on August 11, 2025. TNTET Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates who are planning to appear for the exam must possess the following TNTET eligibility criteria:

TNTET Age limit: Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age. There is no upper age limit in the TNTET exam.

TNTET Educational qualification: The TNTET eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification differs for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Have a look:

  • Higher Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). or
  • Higher Secondary or its equivalent with at least 45 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. or
  • Higher Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (BElEd). or
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. or
  • Graduation with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Education (BEd).

Note: Relaxation up to 5 per cent in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to  BC, BC(M), MBC/DNC, SC, SC(A), ST and PwD.

  • Graduation with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). or
  • Graduation with at least 45 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). or
  • Graduation with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).

What is TNTET 2025?

Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) Tamil Nadu conducts the Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TNTET).
