TS TET 2026: The Department of School Education, Telangana, will conduct TS TET exam from January 3 to 31. The admit card was released on December 27. The exam will be conducted in two shifts. TG TET admit card can be downloaded by logging with the required credentials. TGTET application 2025 was available from November 15 to 29, 2025. Q:   When TSTET hall ticket will be released?
A: 

TG TET January hall ticket will be issued from December 27. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging with the required credentials. The hard copy of the hall ticket is not sent to candidates by post. Candidates need to carry the printed copies of their hall tickets along with one photo-identity proofs to the exam centre.

Q:   What if I am not able to download TSTET hall ticket?
A: 

In case a candidate is not able to download his/ her admit card, he/ she must contact the Director, SCERT & Ex-officio Director, TSTET immediately between 10:30 am and 5:00 pm on the working days at the below-mentioned address:

It may be noted that the candidate should have proof such as the journal number of the fee paid, the reference number of the application submitted, or a printout of the TS TET application form.

Q:   How to retrieve TS TET login ID?

The candidate who lost their TSTET login ID can retrieve the same using the process below-

  • Go to TSTET website. 
  • Click on the TSTET hall ticket link.
  • Click on the forgot password link.
  • Fill out the details asked - registered phone number and email ID.
  • Login details will be sent to the registered number or ID.
  • Enter the login details and download the admit card.

Department of School Education, Telangana released the application form for the TSTET 2026 exam on November 15, 2025. Candidates need to fill out the TS TET Application Form using the process below.

TSTET Eligibility

Before applying for the TSTET exam, candidates should ensure that they possess the prescribed TSTET Eligibility Criteria 2026 in terms of educational qualifications and the age limit. The TSTET eligibility criteria differ for Paper 1 and Paper 2, as mentioned below:

TSTET Eligibility Criteria for Paper 1 (Classes 1 to 5)

Candidates applying for Paper 1 should fulfil either of the criteria mentioned below to meet the TS TET eligibility criteria.

  • Senior Secondary with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) or 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

OR

  • Senior Secondary with at least 45 per cent marks (40 per cent for SC/ ST/OBC/ Differently-abled candidates) and pass in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) or 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to DElEd/ DEd course before the issue of guidelines (23-Dec-2015)

OR

  • Graduation with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in Bachelor of Education (BEd)/ Bachelor of Education (Special Education)

TSTET Eligibility Criteria for Paper 2 (Classes 6 to 8)

Candidates applying for Paper 2 should fulfil either of the criteria mentioned below to meet the TS TET eligibility criteria.

  • BA/BSc/BCom with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in Bachelor of Education (BEd)/ Bachelor of Education (BEd Special Education)

OR

  • BA/BSc/BCom with at least 50 per cent marks (40 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in Bachelor of Education (BEd)/ Bachelor of Education (BEd Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to BEd prior to the issue of guidelines (23-Dec-2015)

OR

  • 4-year BAEd/ BScEd with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently abled candidates)

OR

  • For Language Teachers, Graduation with the language concerned as one of the optional subjects OR Bachelor of Oriental language OR Graduation in literature OR Post Graduation in Language concerned and Language Pandit Training Certificate/ BEd with language concerned as one of the Methodologies

OR

  • BE/ BTech with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and passed or appearing in Bachelor of Education (BEd) or BEd (Special Education)

TSTET 2026 Eligibility: Other Conditions

  • There is no age limit to apply for the TSTET 2026 exam
  • Candidates appearing for the final year of BEd exams/Diploma in Elementary Education are also eligible to apply for TSTET 2026
  • A diploma/degree course of a candidate in teacher education should be recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). However, for candidates possessing a diploma in education (special education) and BEd (special education), the course should be recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only
  • Intermediate qualification of the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) of Telangana or its equivalent as recognized by BIE Telangana State only will be considered
  • Number of Attempts: There is no restriction on the number of attempts a candidate can take to acquire a TSTET certificate. The official website states, “A person who has qualified in the TSTET examination may also appear again for improving his/her score” 

TSTET 2026 Exam Exemption 

The upper primary teacher and primary teacher who have been appointed by the local authority or government by NCTE are exempted from the TSTET 2026 exam. However, candidates who are not appointed by the government or any authority must take the TSTET exam.

What is TS TET 2026?

Telangana State Teachers Eligibility Test (TS TET) exam is conducted by the Department of School Education, Government of Telangana to determine the eligibility of candidates who want to apply for teaching jobs for Classes 1 to 8 in Telangana State. A: 

The TS TET qualifying marks for BC category candidates are 50 per cent. Candidates belonging to Backward Classes (BC) category need to obtain more than 75 marks out of total 150 to clear the exam and get eligible for the TS TET certificate. These qualifying marks or passing marks have been fixed by the Government of Telangana. 

Q:   What are TSTET qualifying marks for SC/ ST category?

The TS TET qualifying marks for SC and ST categories are 40 per cent.
