JTET 2025: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi, has cancelled the JTET 2024 examination due to changes in the existing Examination Rules (2019) of the Jharkhand TET exam. The JTET application form was available from July 23 to August 26, 2024, and then from August 29 to 30, 2024. The new Jharkhand TET exam date 2025 will be announced soon. The JTET exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for Classes 1 to 8 teachers in Jharkhand schools.

The last date to apply online for the JTET 2025 will be notified soon. Candidates need to register for the exam before filling out the JTET application form 2025. The  Jharkhand TET registration link is available for around 20 days. It is advisable that candidates should fill out the form timely and should not wait for the last date.

The JTET exam date 2025 has not been announced yet. The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) will soon announce the exam date for the conduct of the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) 2025 examination. It may be noted here that the JTET exam 2025 will be organized after a gap of 8 years. The exam will be organised offline in pen and paper mode.

Candidates who have passed +2 or higher secondary and have any one of the eligibility shared here are eligible to appear for JTET Paper 1: 

  • Two-year DEd in Special Education in any category of disability

  • Certificate/ Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation (DCBR) with a 6-month Certificate in Education of Children with Special Needs

Candidates need to meet any one of the criteria to meet the JTET eligibility Paper 2:

  • Graduate or equivalent and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Graduate or Postgraduate with at least 50 per cent marks and one-year Bachelor of Education (BEd)
  • Graduate or equivalent or Postgraduate with at least 45 per cent marks and one-year Bachelor of Education (BEd) obtained as per the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Norms and Procedures) Regulations issued from time to time
  • Higher Secondary or equivalent with at least 50 per cent marks and a four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (BElEd)

JTET Selection Process 2025

JTET selection process 2025 includes the following steps:

  • JTET application form: The JTET application form is released on the official website of JAC. Candidates have to fill out the application form online only. JTET application fee is INR 1,300 for one paper and INR 1,500 for both papers.
  • JTET admit card: The Jharkhand Academic Council releases the JTET admit card on its official website. Candidates can download the JTET admit card using their registration number and password.
  • JTET exam: The JTET exam is conducted offline at different test centres across the state. The exam is conducted for two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is conducted for candidates who wish to pursue primary-level school teaching, and Paper 2 is held for candidates who wish to do upper-primary-level school teaching.
  • JTET answer key: The Council releases the official JTET answer key a few days after the exam is conducted. The JTET answer key contains correct answers for all questions asked in the exam. Candidates can refer to the answer key to predict the JTET score that they can secure in the exam.
