The NIT Kurukshetra good and bad.
Placements: Our course is new, so it has no placement records, but it comes under ECE, so I can tell that about 80% students got placed. The highest package is 63 LPA, and the lowest is 6 LPA. Top companies were Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, Amazon, and many other top companies. Internship records are not shared, but it is very low.
Infrastructure: In our college, Wi-Fi is available at the library, but in the classroom, there is no Wi-Fi. The infrastructure of the college is good, but the hostels are old, and in rainy seasons, there are leaks in the rooms. In the hostel, the infrastructure is average, the mess food is good, and all indoor and outdoor sports facilities are provided.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable, but some professors are rude, and some are chill and helpful. The curriculum in our branch is relevant, but it does not fully make students industry ready. You have to learn by yourself in the industry. The difficulty level of the sem exams is moderate, and the pass percentage is about 95%.

Q:   How much rank should I score to get a seat at NIT Kurukshetra?

The Round 1 cutoff for NIMCET 2025 at NIT Kurukshetra seat allocation has been officially announced for MCA admission. As per NTA - The governing authority for DASA UG admissions - announced JEE Main 2025 ranks will be the basis for admission. In contrast to Indian candidates who must register for JoSAA counselling 2025, all foreign citizens must apply for JEE Main 2025 and, upon the announcement of the JEE Main ranks, must register for DASA counselling in order to be considered for admission.

Foreign nationals studying in any country, including India, as well as Indian nationals studying abroad who meet the specified admission criteria, are eligible to apply for the DASA UG program.

For Indian nationals, the criteria are:

  1. Completion of at least two years of education, including 11th and 12th grades or equivalent, in a foreign country within the last 8 years.
  2. Successful completion of the qualifying examination from abroad.

Eligible candidates must also have a JEE Main rank and should have completed Mathematics, Physics, and one additional subject from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology in their 12th grade. Additionally, they must have secured at least 75% marks (or a CGPA of 7.5 out of 10) in aggregate, as per their respective boards.

The closing rank for BTech in Mechanical Engineering was 29870, which is close to this range. This was for the general category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. Q:   Is there any scholarship at NIT Kurukshetra?
A: 

Yes, NIT Kurukshetra offers various scholarships to its students. NIT Kurukshetra students can avail of Merit-cum-Means Scholarships, the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for SC students, and Alumni Association Scholarships.

There are various scholarships under Merit-cum-Means Scholarships, such as the OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship, which is given to the first three toppers (Engineering) and the first ten (Management) on the basis of performance.

The Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for SC students offers 26 merit scholarships, and 52 merit-cum-means scholarships are awarded by the institute for each year of BTech degree courses. In addition to these, National Scholarships, Post-metric Scholarship, and many other stipends are awarded by various Government institutions and other agencies.

NITK also offers Alumni Association awards. There are 5 scholarships (one each in the disciplines of Civil, Computer, Electronics Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering) of the value of INR 2400 per annum that are open to all regular BTech students of the institute.

Yes, NIT Kurukshetra offers separate hostel facilities to its students. The girls hostel, Bhagirathi Bhawan, has a capacity of 198 students. All the rooms are single-seated. A: 

NIT Kurukshetra campus spreads over 300 acres. It has been divided into three functional sectors: the instructional sector, the residential sector for the employees, and the residential sector for the students (hostels). Students can find lodging in hostels because they are residential institutions. The MTech students are accommodated in PG hostels. NIT Kurukshetra has a very spacious library with a good collection of documents, including text and reference books, video cassettes, CD-ROMs, and many print and online journals and books. The infrastructure facilities include eight blocks and a workshop. Each block has offices for the staff, lecture halls, tutorial rooms, and various laboratories.

You can get CSE in GFTI as per the JoSSA counselling cutoff last year. You cannot get any branch, like CSE, ECE in NIT at this rank.
