Aligarh Muslim University offers a three-year full-time BSc course at the undergraduate level. Apart from the BSc course, the University also offers BSc (Hons) courses. AMU admission to the BSc course is based on candidates' performance in an entrance test conducted by the University. The total seat intake for the AMU BSc course is approximately 1260. AMU has a pre-defined set of eligiblity criteria for admission to the various BSc specialisations that it provides. The eligibility crietra vary across the specialisations. In general, a candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% in Class 12 with relevant Science subjects to be eligible for BSc admission at AMU. The relevant subjects may vary depending upon the choice of specialisation. Further, candidates must not be more than 24 years old as of July 01 in the year of admission.

For Aligarh Muslim University B.P.Ed admission, candidates must have passed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% and have at least participation in the InterCollege/Inter-Zonal / District / School competition in sports and games as recognised by the AIU/ IOA / SGFI / Govt. of India. Yes, AMU offers various BSc and BSc (Hons) programmes. The duration of these UG-level courses is either three or four years, depending upon the specialisation. The BSc/BSc (Hons) specialisations available at AMU include Nursing, Biochemistry, Computer Applications, etc. AMU BSc admission is provided based on the AMU Entrance Exam scores for most specialisations. However, admission to some BSc courses is based on the CUET UG scores.

AMU MA is a two-year postgraduate programme offered in the full-time mode. Candidates who have scored at least 50% in Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline are eligible to pursue MA at the university. Hence, a candidate scoring less that 50% in their graduation degree is not eligible to apply for the programme. Such candidates can pursue MA at some other college or university. Aligarh Muslim University offers an MBA (General), MBA in Hospital Administration, MBA in Islamic Banking & Finance and MBA in International Business at the postgraduate level for a duration of two years each. AMU admission to all these courses is completely entrance-based and depends' on candidates' performance in CAT or an online written test, conducted by the University.  Candidates seeking admission to any of the above-mentioned AMU MBA courses must have passed graduation in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50%. 

Given below are the list documents required during the MBA admission process at AMU:

• Marks sheet/grade sheet of qualifying examination (with FOUR Self-attested photocopies)
• Transfer / Migration and Character Certificate from the Institution last attended (if not enrolled at AMU)
• Class 10, 12 & graduation certificate or its equivalent in support of the date of birth.
• FIVE (2.5 x 3.0 cms) recent front-facing colour photographs (in white background).
• Documents in support of Special Categories claimed in Application Form
• Two undertakings on plain paper – one on your behalf and the other on behalf of your parents/ guardian regarding not indulging in ragging

Shortlisted candidates have to present a list of documents for verification purposes at the time of admission to the courses offered at AMU. Candidates must carry the following original documents at the time of physical reporting:

1. Mark sheet of last qualifying examination (with four self-attested photocopies)
2. Transfer/migration and character certificate (If the Certificate is not available, an undertaking on the prescribed format is to be submitted within the due date)
3. High school certificate or its equivalent in support of the date of birth
4. Five (2.5 x 3.0 cms) recent front-facing colour photographs (with white background)
5. Documents in support of Special Categories claimed in the application form
6. Leave sanction/relieving order from the employer for the entire duration of the course, if employed.
7. Name removal certificate from the rolls of the concerned faculty/college/unit (if already enrolled in another full-time course at AMU)
8. Two self-addressed envelopes bearing postage stamps worth INR 22 each (to be submitted in the Office of the Provost of Hall of Residence/NRSC allotted).
9. Two Undertakings on plain paper – one on your behalf and the other on behalf of your parents/guardian regarding not indulging in ragging
10. the latest Certificate of vaccination for Typhoid, Cholera and Hepatitis “B” – (applicable only for BSc Nursing course)

AMU BSc admission is strictly entrance-based. Candidates must apply and appear for the accepted entrance exam as per their preferred specialisation. Candidates seeking admission to the following BSc specialisations at AMU must appear for CUET UG in order to gain admission:

• BSc (Hons/Research) in Statistics

Candidates seeking admission to any other BSc specialisation will have to appear for AMU EE, the entrance exam conducted by the university.

AMU BSc application process is conducted online. Interested candidates can visit the admission portal on the university's official website to submit their applications. Candidates seeking admission to the BSc specialisations where CUET UG is the selection criteria must separately apply for the entrance exam by visiting the exam portal on NTA's website. Following the entrance exam, candidates must register for the AMU counselling. This can be done by visiting the university's official website and clicking on "Online Counselling/Admission Portal". Candidates who have appeared for the AMU Entrance Exam will have to log in using the credentials generated during the application process.
