NIMCET 2025 Seat Matrix: The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, has released the official NIMCET 2025 seat matrix. Candidates can now check the number of seats offered by each participating institute for admission through NIMCET 2025. The category-wise and institute-wise NIMCET seat matrix 2025 are available for the reference of the candidates. Q:   Is calculator allowed in NIMCET exam?
A:

No, calculator or any other electronic equipment such as mobile phones, pagers, etc. will not be allowed to carry to the NIMCET exam centre. Candidates need to report at the examination hall in the allotted test center with admit card before one hour as NIMCET is an online examination, the candidates are required to follow the instructions given at the test center for entry and allotment of terminal. 

Q:   Where can I find important study materials for NIMCET preparation?
A:

Students can check details about NIMCET important chapter and topics from this page. While it is necessary that students pay special attention to chapters with high weightage, it is highly advised that they cover the full NIMCET syllabus. The question paper of NIMCET is prepared by considering the entire syllabus which consists of topics from BCA. Important study material for NIMCET like books or short notes can be checked online. Students who are taking coaching can get the study materials from the coaching institutes.

Q:   How can I choose the nearest NIMCET centre?
A:

Candidates can select the exam centre of their preference while applying for the NIMCET exam. Three centres need to be selected in the order of preference. The authorities will allot the NIMCET exam centres after checking the preferences of the candidates and the seat availability. Most of the candidates will be allotted centres that are within their first preferences. Therefore, the candidates are advised to be very careful while submitting their preferences in the application form.

Q:   What documents do I have to carry to the NIMCET test centre?
A:

Here is the list of documents you must carry to the NIMCET test centre -

  • Printed copy of your NIMCET admit card
  • A valid government-issued photo ID (e.g. Aadhaar Card, Passport, PAN Card, or Voter ID). No soft copies will be accepted. 
  • A recent passport-sized photograph.  


Please note that calculators, mobile phones or any electronic gadgets are strictly NOT allowed in the exam hall.

Q:   Will there be papers or sheets provided to do rough work or calculations for NIMCET?
A:

Yes, papers will be provided to the NIMCET candidates for doing rough work or calculations. Candidates have to submit the same at the end of the exam to the invigilators. The authorities released the NIMCET exam pattern along with the brochure on the official website. With the help of the exam pattern, candidates will be able to check details on the pattern in which the NIMCET paper is structured and also the marking scheme. It is advised for the candidates to check the exam pattern and strategize accordingly for the preparation of the NIMCET exam.

Q:   What is the best way to create a timetable for NIMCET preparation?
A:

While preparing the study timetable for NIMCET preparation, the students are advised to distribute the syllabus carefully so that all topics are covered before the examination. The daily study routine should also include revisions, mock tests and solving sample papers. Students should ensure that the subjects are divided well, so that there is no montony in the studying process. It is important for the students to prepare the timetable as per their aptitude.

NIMCET 2025 Counselling

NIMCET 2025 counselling process will be held online for all qualified candidates. To participate in the NIMCET counselling 2025 process, the candidates will have to register, fill out their choices and pay the required fee. Choice-filling should be done according to order preferences. The NIMCET 2025 counselling fee will be INR 1000, and the candidates will have to pay online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card.

The authorities will announce the NIMCET 2025 seat allotment result online. Seat allocation will be done based on the candidate’s rank, preferences, category, and seat availability. All allotted candidates will have to confirm their admission before the final date, otherwise, their admission will be cancelled.

The NIMCET is conducted by an individual NIT on a rotational basis every year. So the NIT that is conducting the NIMCET in that year will release the NIMCET answer key. In 2025, the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli conducted the NIMCET and hence, released the answer key.
