NIMCET 2026 Seat Matrix: The National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, is expected to be the conducting body this year, and it will release the official NIMCET 2026 seat matrix. NIMCET 2026 Participating Institutes
Candidates can check the list of participating institutes for NIMCET 2026 and the total number of offered seats in the table below.
Students can check details about NIMCET important chapter and topics from this page. While it is necessary that students pay special attention to chapters with high weightage, it is highly advised that they cover the full NIMCET syllabus. Yes, papers will be provided to the NIMCET candidates for doing rough work or calculations. Candidates have to submit the same at the end of the exam to the invigilators. The authorities released the NIMCET exam pattern along with the brochure on the official website. With the help of the exam pattern, candidates will be able to check details on the pattern in which the NIMCET paper is structured and also the marking scheme. It is advised for the candidates to check the exam pattern and strategize accordingly for the preparation of the NIMCET exam.
Yes, the NIMCET exam is held in a single day and slot window for all the applicants, irrespective of the mode and the language of the exam. NIMCET 2025 was held on June 8, 2025 (2 PM to 4 PM). Candidates will be able to check here the complete schedule of the NIMCET 2025 for the exam, application form, admit card, exam, result, counselling, etc.
NIMCET 2025 dates have been announced. However, there is no information as of yet regarding the postponement of the examination. If postponed, the exam authorities will announce on official portal.

NIMCET 2026 Counselling
NIMCET 2026 counselling process will be held online for all qualified candidates. To participate in the NIMCET counselling 2026 process, candidates need to register, submit their choices, and pay the required fee. Choice-filling should be done according to order preferences. The NIMCET 2026 counselling fee will be INR 1000, and candidates will have to pay online via net banking/credit card/debit card.
The authorities will announce the NIMCET 2026 seat allotment result online. Seat allocation will be done based on the candidate’s rank, preferences, category, and seat availability. All allotted candidates will have to confirm their admission before the final date, otherwise, their admission will be cancelled.

No. You cannot manually convert CGPA to percentage or vice-versa to qualify. If your university uses a 10-point scale, a 6.5 CGPA is the minimum requirement for General/OBC candidates.

The NIMCET application edit window usually opens 2-3 days after the last day of application. Historically, it opens for 2 days within which applicants can make any edits in their application if required. Please note that no requests in this regard shall be entertained thereafter.

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in any discipline with Mathematics/Statistics (Mandatory)/B.E./B.Tech degree from a recognised university.
Minimum Marks:
- OPEN/OPEN-EWS/OBC: 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA.
- SC/ST/PwD: 55% aggre

No, calculator or any other electronic equipment such as mobile phones, pagers, etc. will not be allowed to carry to the NIMCET exam centre. Candidates need to report at the examination hall in the allotted test center with admit card before one hour as NIMCET is an online examination, the candidates are required to follow the instructions given at the test center for entry and allotment of terminal.
