Q. Please tell us about yourself, your family background, hobbies and interests.
I am in the final year LLB programme. I belong to a very supportive family that has always encouraged me to pursue my academic journey. My father is an entrepreneur, and my mother is a homemaker. My parents have been a constant source of strength. I love to read about various judicial proceeding and judgments that helps to engage deeply with legal reasoning and its real-world application. My favourite hobby is baking in my free time.
Q. What motivated you to appear in the CLAT PG exam?
I aimed to pursue my postgraduate degree from one of the NLUs in the country. While clearing CLAT PG opens the door to getting a job in various public sector undertakings, my focus has always been to continue my higher studies.
Q. Did you expect this good rank in CLAT 2026?
I did not expect to secure such a good rank. But I would like to give credit to my mother who always motivated me with Lord Krishna's words that 'Karm karo, phal ki chinta mat karo.' I focused on what was within my control, that is, preparing sincerely, staying consistent, and giving my best effort. I believe that this approach helped me secure All India Rank 2.

Q. Which section did you feel was more challenging? And took more time in the exam?
It is difficult to say any one particular section as being more challenging. Both the core subjects, such as Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence and the smaller topics, including Environmental Law and Public International Law, required an equal level of attention. What helped me the most was reading. The CLAT PG Question Paper carried nearly 24 passages, making reading one of the most significant parts.
Like certain passages in the Jurisprudence section, such as those dealing with Bentham’s theory of utilitarianism, were relatively straightforward in terms of concepts but quite lengthy. Therefore, while the questions were manageable, the volume of reading made time management the most demanding part of the examination.
Q. How did you manage time for Preparation and other activities?
As I am already pursuing LLB, I had already covered important subjects like Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, and Administrative Law. These subjects are important for both judicial services examination and CLAT PG. Studying them regularly helped me to build strong understanding and good hold on these subjects. Because of this it was easy to give time to remaining subjects. I also appeared for various CLAT Mock Test to analyse my preparation.
Q. Can a candidate clear the CLAT PG exam without Coaching?
Yes it is very much possible to clear the CLAT PG examination without coaching. I did not enroll with any coaching classes during my preparation. With self-study, solving CLAT mock tests you can easily build the required understanding and confidence to clear the CLAT Exam.
Q. What was your study plan?
Since I had a strong understanding of foundational subjects, I did not spend too much time on them. But yes I did do my revision regularly. This helped me to focus more on my weaker areas, like Company Law and Labour Law. I made sure to solve mock tests regularly. It helped me to know my progress and refine my approach.

Q. Which section in the CLAT PG exam was the most difficult to prepare?
Jurisprudence is one of the most difficult subjects. It needs not only conceptual clarity but also a good understanding of various legal theories. I also realised that one should not refer to multiple source,s as it will just lead to confusion. Hence, I decided to work with limited resources to develop a confident understanding of the subject.
Q. How did you deal with your weaknesses while preparing for entrance Exam?
Attempting a mock test helped me a lot. To deal with my weaknesses, I regularly solved previous years' CLAT PG Question Papers too. Mock tests helped me to know where I am making mistakes, what my weak areas and improve accuracy and time management. If you practice mock test it will help you to correct your mistakes during preparation itself rather than in the actual examination.
Q. Was Law always your choice as a career? What are your future plans?
Yes, law has always been my first choice. After completing my graduation from the University of Delhi, I enrolled in the LLB programme. I want to prepare for the judicial services later. To appear for the CLAT PG examination was a conscious decision keeping my goals in mind as pursuing an LLM from a prestigious institution would further add to my purpose.
Q. Any tips for students who are planning to take the exam next year.
To appear in the CLAT PG 2027 students must make a good study plan. Candidates should solve past years' question papers and attempt mock tests. This will not only help them to gain confidence but also work on their weak areas.
Q. Which books would you suggest for the CLAT PG preparation?
One of the most important things is to understand the Bare Acts. Once you have built a strong understanding of the same, it will be easy to refer to other books like M.P. Jain for Constitutional Law and Salmond for Jurisprudence. To avoid confusion, try to refer to limited books. A consistent, focused approach combined with regular analysis and practice will help candidates to achieve good AIR in the CLAT Exam.

Whether SLS Pune is better than an NLU really depends on what you want. SLS Pune gives a strong private college aura, with a good campus, nice location, and a good brand name. Many people think it's ahead of some low-tier NLUs (Tier 2 or Tier 3). But the top NLUs like NLSIU Bengaluru or NLU Delhi st
