The Consortium of NLUs will conduct the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for admission to 26 National Law Universities across the country. Though the CLAT Exam Date 2027 is not out yet, it is likely to be conducted on December 6, 2026. The Logical Reasoning Section is one of the highest scroing section of the CLAT Exam. The section aims to evaluate candidates' ability to think critically, draw logical conclusions and analyse arguments.

CLAT Logical Reasoning Exam Pattern 2027

As per the latest CLAT Exam Pattern 2027, the logical reasoning section will carry around 20 per cent weightage. There will be passage-based questions. Check the complete pattern below

Though CLAT Preparation takes months of practice, it is still not impossible. You can prepare for the CLAT Exam in one week with a correct and dedicated focus. But you should have at least some understanding of concepts to clear the exam.

Yes, CLAT is considered one of the most difficult law entrance exams. Candidates must note that the CLAT Exam is conducted for admission to NLUs across the country except NLU Delhi. Hence, the level of difficulty of CLAT Exam is tough. 

Q:   How many questions are there in CLAT Exam?
A: 

In CLAT Exam there will be 120 questions. The exam paper will be in MCQ format. Candidates will get 120 minutes to complete the paper. Since there is a negative marking candidates must attempt carefully.

Q:   What does CLAT cutoff mean?
A: 

The CLAT cutoff means the minimum rank or score required to get admission into a National Law University (NLU). Candidates must get the cutoff to participate in the counselling process.

This requirement is for the University of Lucknow BBA LLB course. So yes, admission will be easier if you have a great CLAT 2026 score. General category applicants who score 50% or above can skip the university's local test entirely. For reserved students, this direct entry limit is set at 45% marks

University of Lucknow BA LLB seats can also be won by taking the college's own entry exam. The university organizes its own Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) to fill up all remaining law seats. They prepare a clear merit list based strictly on your local exam marks.

Yes, you can join Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham without CLAT. If you have a valid AILET score, you can submit it for BA LLB admission. Otherwise, you can appear for Amrita Law Admission Test (AmLAT).

No, CLAT is not compulsory to get admission in BA LLB at BHU. BHU uses the CUET-UG (Common University Entrance Test) scores conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for shortlisting students.
