The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education conducts AP LAWCET 2026 and AP PGLCET 2026 exams to provide admission to aspiring students in 3-year LLB, 5-year LLB, and LLM programs. AP LAWCET is scheduled to be held on May 4, 2026, and the date of the AP PGLCET 2026 exam is the same, i.e., May 4, 2026. The AP LAWCET & PGLCET 2026 application process is being managed online at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. The online AP LAWCET registrations began on February 12 and will continue till April 6, 2026, with the late fee payment of INR 10,000. The last date to fill out the APLAWCET application form without late fee payment is March 20, 2026

STEP 2: Filling the Application Form

After you finish paying the AP LAWCET application fee, the next step is to apply for the exam. This part is very important, so you must enter all details carefully.

Below are the details you need to fill in the AP LAWCET application form:

  • Candidate’s Details: You have to type your full name, your mother’s and father’s names, date of birth, and gender. Make sure everything matches your certificates.
  • Qualifying Examination: Choose your qualification: LLB, Degree in any stream, or Intermediate (10+2). Then fill in the year you passed, hall ticket number, marks obtained, name of the exam, and place of study.
  • Entrance Exam: Pick which test you want to write: LAWCET 5-Year LLB, LAWCET 3-Year LLB, or PGLCET LLM.
  • Photo and Signature: Upload your recent color photograph and signature in the correct format and size as mentioned in the AP LAWCET 2026 notification.

  1. Regional Centre to Appear for the Test: Here, candidates need to select their preference for the APLAWCET exam centre from the drop-down list.
  2. Category: Candidates need to select a category - OC/ BC-A/ BC-B/ BC-C/ BC-D/ BC-E/ SC/ ST. Apart from these, candidates can also select the NCC/ CAP/ Sports if they are applying for admissions under a special category.
  3. Local Area Status: Candidates need to select the local area that they belong to under this column:

  1. Minority/ Non-Minority: Candidates belonging to the minority group need to select the “Minority” checkbox, and candidates not belonging to the minority group need to select the “Non-minority” checkbox.

  3. SSC or Equivalent (10th Class): It requires details such as a candidate’s SSC board name, hall ticket number, passed month and year, and place of study.
  4. Physically Challenged: Here, candidates need to select their type of physical challenge (visually handicapped/ hearing impaired/ ortho handicapped) (if applicable).
  5. Intermediate (10th Class): It requires details such as a candidate’s inter board name, hall ticket number, passed month and year, and place of study.
  6. Annual Income of Parents: Candidates need to select the annual income of their parents i.e., Below One Lakh/ Between One Lakh and Two Lakh/ More than Two Lakh.

Q:   What are the 5-year LLB eligibility criteria for the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2026?

As per the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2026 eligibility criteria for the 5-year LLB programme, candidates must have passed their Class 12 exam in a (10+2) pattern with a minimum of 45% marks. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category need 40% marks in their intermediate exam to take the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET exam 2026 for admission to the integrated LLB programme. However, candidates belonging to backward classes (BC) require a minimum of 42% marks in their Class 12 to take the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2026.

 

Q:   What is the eligibility for Andhra Pradesh LAWCET in India?
A: 

This is an entrance test for admission to any of the almost 35 colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Interestingly this test is conducted for either of the three or five year law courses offered by the universities in Andhra Pradesh. Of course, syllabus for five years course is equivalent to 12th standard whereas one for the three year course is equivalent to graduation level. Out of the 120 questions spread over three subjects are to be answered in 90 minutes. With no negative marking, a student must attempt all questions. Indian nationals with 45% marks in qualifying exam and 40% for SC & ST candidates. The age for five year degree course is 20 to 22 years while for three year course us 30 to 35 years. Foreign nationals may apply if particular university allows it. In addition, domicile conditions are also to be met. Also, in the entrance exam, candidates are expected to score at least 42 marks ( for SC & ST candidates no such limit). These were the general conditions. But it's advisable for candidates to study these when ever exam dates are announced for 2018.

Yes, it's possible to write the APLAWCET exam more than one time. There isn't any fixed limit on how many attempts can be made as per the official rules for APLAWCET 2026.

AP LAWCET/ PGLCET Application Correction Window 2026

The APSCHE will open the application correction window after the closing of the AP LAWCET/ PGLCET Application window. The council will start the AP LAWCET/ PGLCET Application Correction Window to help the candidates make changes to the AP LAWCET application form 2026. Candidates must note that the TGCHE will allow for corrections as per the two categories mentioned below.

Category 1 - Candidates who want to make changes in the following 

  • AP LAWCET Branch change,
  • Name of the Candidate, Father’s Name,
  • Date of Birth (as per SSC or Equivalent),
  • Signature & Photograph, and
  • Qualifying Hall Ticket Number (Diploma/Class 10th).
