AP PGLCET 2026

AP PGLCET is a state-level law entrance exam conducted by Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, on behalf of APSCHE for admission to the LLM course. Candidates from anywhere can apply for the exam if they meet the AP PGLCET eligibility criteria. The APPGLCET exam is conducted once a year.

The APCHE will release the AP PGLCET exam date soon on the website. The council already announced the date of the AP LAWCET exam via a notification. The candidate must note that the AP PGLCET exam is going to be conducted for admission to the Master of Laws or LLM programme. Candidates who want to appear for AP PGLCET must know that the AP PGLCET 2026 Application Process has not begun yet. The APSCHE will soon begin the AP PGLCET 2026 registrations on the website, lawcet-sche.aptonline.in.

What is AP PGLCET? 

AP PGLCET stands for the Andhra Pradesh Postgraduate Law Common Entrance Test, which is a law entrance exam for admission into the LLM programme offered by recognised law colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Every year, a different college or university conducts AP PGLCET on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

  • Must have completed 5year LLB or 3year LLB from a recognized university
  • Candidates need a minimum of 50% in their graduation final exam

OBC Category: 

  • Must have completed 5year LLB or 3year LLB from a recognized university
  • Candidates need a minimum of 45% in their graduation final exam

SC / ST Category: 

  • Must have completed 5year LLB or 3year LLB from a recognized university
  • Candidates need a minimum of 42% in their graduation final exam

Note: Candidates must be citizens of India, and there is no upper age limit to apply.

Q:   Is the application form for AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET same?
A:

The application process and form for the AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET are the same. However, candidates have to select the course they are applying for at the time of registration only. For both 5-year LLB And 3-year LLB Programmes, candidates need to appear in a different test (AP LAWCET) that will be conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. For admission to the LLM Course, candidates need to appear select AP PGLCET/LLM at the time of filling out the application form.

Q:   What is the last date to apply for APPGLCET 2026?
A:

The last date to apply for the APPGLCET 2026 exam is not released yet. However candidates will be given four chances to apply for the exam with late fee as per the previous year record.

Q:   Is application correction facility for Andhra Pradesh PGLCET available?
A:

Yes, the exam authority will open the application correction facilty after the last date of registration. Candidates who fill the incorrect information while filling up the form will be able to edit the incorrect details through the official website. According to last year, the exam authority will divided the details to be corrected in two categories, below given category 1 details can be corrected online by the candidates:

AP PGLCET 2026 Application Form 

The AP PGLCET application form 2026 will be available after the AP PGLCET 2026 registration starts. To fill out the AP PGLCET 2026 application form, use the following ways.

  • Go to the website of APSCHE: https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/ 
  • First, click on the Common Entrance Tests (CETS)-2026 tab, and then click on the AP LAWCET- 2026 tab. 
  • Click on the AP LAWCET registration link and check the exam eligibility criteria (The registration link for AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET is the same)
  • Register for AP PGLCET 2026 by entering your basic details, qualification-related details, preferred law course (LLM), mobile number, and email ID. 
  • Pay the AP PGLCET 2026 registration fee. 
  • Check your payment status by clicking on "Know Your Payment Status”. 
  • If the payment is successful, fill out the AP PGLCET application form. 
  • Review your form and submit it. 
  • Take a printout of the AP PGLCET application for future reference. 

Note: The AP PGLCET registration process is the same as the AP LAWCET registration process. AP PGLCET candidates only need to select the course as LLM, fill out the educational details, and pay the registration fee for the AP PGLCET application form.

Q:   When will AP PGLCET 2026 application form be released?
A:

The AP PGLCET application form 2026 will tentatively be released in the fourth week of March 2026 at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/LAWCET. To fill out the registration form, candidates will have to first complete the registration process. Thereafter, they can fill out the application form and pay the application fee to complete the application process. 

There will be three chances to fill out the AP PGLCET 2026 application form. The fees and registration dates for all chances are mentioned below:

No there is no such provision to fill the application form in offline mode. Candidates should make sure they fill it on or before the deadline.

AP LAWCET 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

On the exam day, candidates have to follow the AP PGLCET Exam Day Guidelines for the smooth conduct of the examination. All the exam day guidelines are usually given on the admit card. Read below to know the instructions.

  • On the AP PGLCET exam day, you need to arrive at least an hour before the exam centre. 
  • You need to carry your AP PGLCET admit card with a coloured passport-size photo attached to it to the exam centre. 
  • Do not carry food, reference materials, and electronic devices to the exam hall.

  • Visit APSCHE’s official website - cets.apsche.ap.gov.in 
  • Click on the “AP LAWCET-2026” tab. 
  • Now, click on the “Result” option and enter your registration ID and AP PGLCET hall ticket number to check the AP PGCET result

Or,

  • Click on the “Download Rank Card” option and enter your registration ID, qualifying exam’s hall ticket number and date of birth to download your AP PGLCET score card or hall ticket.

AP PGLCET 2026 Counselling

The AP PGLCET counselling 2026 will be the main process for admission to an LLM course through AP PGLCET 2026. The AP PGLCET counselling process will be conducted in the following stages

  1. Counselling Registration: In this stage, candidates will have to register for AP PGLCET counselling 2026 by filling out the AP PGLCET counselling registration form online at lawcet-sche.aptonline.in/LAWCET.
    Verification of Documents: After the counselling registration, candidates will have to visit the counselling centres designated by APSCHE to verify their education documents, caste certificates (for reserved category candidates), and ID proofs. 
  2. Web Option: Once the documents are verified, candidates will have to exercise web options in which they need to apply for colleges of their preference or change colleges in which they apply for admission.
  3. Seat Allotment: Based on the options filled by candidates and rank secured by them in AP PGLCET 2026, seats will be allotted to them for admission to a 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB course. 
  4. Admission / Reporting to Colleges: After the AP PGLCET 2026 seat allotment, candidates will have to report to their respective colleges, pay the admission fee, and secure their seats.
