NLAT 2020 Exam Analysis – Technical Glitches and Tough Question Paper

The National Law Admission Test (NLAT) 2020 has been conducted on September 12 amidst pandemic in a safe mode i.e. a Remotely Proctored Test (RPT). The candidates were able to attempt the exam using their tablets, desktop, laptop or smartphone (Android). However, the safe mode exam did not come out to be convenient according to the test-takers. The question paper that carried a lesser number of questions than any other law entrance exam, was on a higher on the scale of difficulty level. Moreover, law experts are also criticising the exam authority for conducting NLAT 2020 in a hastened manner. NLAT 2020 Exam Analysis by Experts
Law exam experts who are feeling the pain of the law aspirants are sharing their opinions and, criticising NLAT 2020 openly. According to them, the exam is not in favour of candidates as they are suffering due to extra pressure. Moreover, the exam that was held on September 12 was 'erroneous and full of technical glitches'.
According to law expert at a leading coaching institute, Mr Harsh Gagrani, "NLSIU Bangalore's decision to conduct the law entrance exam is unanticipated (despite the reasons they shared) and, now the fate of the examination completely depends on the final verdict of the Supreme Court".

He added, now that the matter is in court it will take at least two weeks for final court proceedings to take place and, until then CLAT 2020 will be conducted successfully. He added, for the better outcome in the admission process, NLSIU Bangalore should continue with CLAT 2020 scores, keeping all the reasons aside.
Talking about NLAT 2020 paper analysis, Mr Gagrani shared that the exam was completely different from CLAT 2020 and, test-takers faced a lot of issues in attempting the exam. Moreover, with less number of questions and glitches, it is tough to analyse the expected cut-off.

Candidates who took the exam have reported their issues to NLSIU Bangalore as well as, sharing their experience on the social media platforms. There were glitches in the verification process, exam proctoring and even, auto-submission of answers.
Omkar Gupta, who attempted NLAT 2020 on September 12 in the first shift, shared that his exam started late even though he reported on the exact time. Due to this, he lost some time and could not attempt the exam properly. Moreover, he shared the question paper was tough and, he could not prepare properly according to a different pattern in the given time. Now, he is worried about the negative marking, which is there in the case of wrong questions as well as, unattempted questions.
