The Telangana Council of Higher Education has started the TG LAWCET 2026 Registration from February 10, 2026, on the website, lawcet.tgche.ac.in. The TS LAWCET Application Form is released online. Candidates have to fill out the TG LAWCET Application before April 1, 2026. The TGCHE already released the TG LAWCET 2026 Exam Date via a notification. The TS LAWCET Exam is scheduled to be held on May 18, 2026.

Candidates who fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements can apply for the Telangana LAWCET entrance exam from the official website. The TS LAWCET Exam is conducted by Osmania University on behalf of TGCHE for admission to the 3-Year and 5-Year LLB courses offered in the Colleges of Law, Telangana. Eligibility for 3-Year LLB

To apply for TS LAWCET, you need to finish your graduation in any stream from a well-known university. If you belong to the general category, you must have at least 45% marks. For OBC students, the required percentage is 42%, and for SC or ST candidates, it’s 40%. Even if you’re in your final year of graduation, you can still apply for the exam. But you’ll have to show your passing proof before getting admission.

Eligibility for 5-Year Integrated LLB

To apply for TS LAWCET, you should have passed your 10+2 or any equal exam from a recognized board. The subjects you studied in intermediate must be the ones accepted by the university. The TS LAWCET eligibility percentage is same like the 3-year law course

  • 45% for general category
  • 42% for OBC, and
  • 40% for SC or ST students.

TS LAWCET Counselling 2026

Candidates who qualify for the TS LAWCET 2026 can participate in the counselling for admission to the participating institutions. TG LAWCET counselling is done online. Students must register online to participate. The counselling process consists of registration, document verification, web option entry, seat allotment, and reporting to the allotted institute. Follow the steps given below for the TS LAWCET counselling:

  1. TSLAWCET Registration - The eligible candidates will have to register for counseling at the college's website or theTGCHE website, lawcetadm.tgche.ac.in
  2. Document Verification Process - The verification of documents will be conducted at the college allocated to the candidates during the counseling 
  3. Registered Candidates List - Once the candidates confirm their seat at the allocated college, the list of candidates shortlisted during the counselling process will be published on the TGCHE official website
  4. Exercise of Web Options - This step is meant for candidates to select the choice of colleges for admission during the Phase 1 & 2 counselling only. 
  5. Seat Allotment Process- This will be based on the merit of the candidate and the colleges picked at the time of choice filling
  6. Reporting at the Allotted College - Candidates whose names appear in the allotment list will have to visit the institute and confirm their seats by paying the admission fee

Q:   What after the TS LAWCET seat allotment list?
A: 

After the TS LAWCET seat allotment list is released, candidates whose names appear in the seat allotment list will have to report to the assigned college for verification of original certificate and tution fee receipt. Candidates will have to confirm their seat if they are satisfied with the seat allotment.  

Q:   Is TSLAWCET 2026 seat allotment list released?
A: 

TGCHE will release the TS LAWCET seat allotment list after the results. The TS LAWCET 2026 first seat allotment list is expected to be released in August on the TGCHE official website. Candidates whose names will appear in the list will then have to appear and report to the allotted college as per the official schedule. Candidates will be required to carry the important documents for verification and confirmation of their seats.

A:

No, there is no need to send the application form by post once it is submitted online.

Q:   What is TS LAWCET correction window?
A: 

The TS LAWCET correction window is activated to correct the wrong information filled by the students in the TS LAWCET application form. Here, candidates need to know that they cannot correct all the details they filled out in the application form. Only specific details can be corrected. These details are the following:

  • TS LAWCET branch change  
  • Name of the Candidate, Father’s Name, Date of Birth (as per SSC or Equivalent)
  • Intermediate/Class 12th Hall Ticket Number
  • Signature
  • Photograph
  • Qualifying Hall Ticket Number (Diploma/Degree)
Q:   What are the eligibility criteria for LLM in TS LAWCET?
A: 

The TS LAWCET LLM exam is called the TS PGLCET. The TS PGLCET eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

Educational Qualification
  • Candidates must have obtained a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree or a graduation degree in any stream from a recognised university.
  • Candidates who are appearing for their final year/semester of the LLB course can also apply for TS PGLCET. However, they need their final year marksheet at the time of TS PGLCET counselling.
Minimum Marks in qualifying exam
  • General & OBC: Minimum of 50% marks 
  • SC/ST/PwD: Minimum of 45% marks 
Age Limit
  • There is no age limit to apply for TS PGLCET.
Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for 3-year LLB offered under TG LAWCET 2026?
A: 

Following is the TS LAWCET eligibility criteria -

  • Candidates should have passed garduation in a (10+2+3) format .
  • Candidates who are appearing in the graduation final year are eligible.
  • There is no upper age limit
Q:   What is verified list of eligible registered candidates in TS LAWCET counselling?
A: 

The TGCHE admission cell releases a list of candidates whose application for TSLAWCET counselling is verified and approved. These candidates can further participate in the web-options exercise to choose their preferred college for admission. The candidates whose names does not appear in the verified candidate's list will then have to upload the documents required within the deadline to verify get their candidature verified. 

Q:   What is web-options exercise in TS LAWCET counselling?
A: 

During the web-option exercise, candidates eligible to participate in the counselling and whose documents are verified will have to select the college of their preferences online. The list of colleges accepting the students for admission to 3-year LLB and 5-Year LLB is released by the TS LAWCET admission cell on the official website. The candidates can select atleast three colleges for their admission during the TS LAWCET web -option exercise.
