Telangana Law Common Entrance Test (TS LAWCET) is conducted by Osmania University on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) to provide admission to aspiring students in 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes offered at Telangana universities and their affiliated colleges. TSCHE also conducts TS PGLCET for admission to the LLM course.

For the academic session 2026-27, TS LAWCET and PGLCET exams will be held on May 18, 2026. The TS LAWCET & PGLCET 2026 application process will begin from February 10, 2026 till April 1, 2026, on the website, lawcet.tsche.ac.in. Students can fill the form with a late fee till May 13, 2026. TS LAWCET/PGLCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before start filling the TS LAWCET 2026 or TS PGLCET 2026 application form, interested applicants must acquaint themselves with the eligibility rules given by the exam authority. Being aware of the TS LAWCET 2026 eligibility criteria is very important before you submit the form. In case you are found to be ineligible, then the candidature will stand cancelled. Therefore, check the education qualification, age limit, citizenship and other criteria which allows you to appear for the exam here:

TS LAWCET

5-year LLB:

  • Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2 level) from any recognized board/council with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST categories).
  • The minimum qualifying marks required in the TS LAWCET 2026 is 45% for the General and OBC categories. The minimum qualifying marks for OBC and ST / ST categories are 42% and 45%. 
  • There is no minimum marks prescribed for SC and ST candidates.

3-year LLB:

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any stream from a recognized university with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST and 42% for OBC categories).
TS PGLCET
  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB/BL) of 3 or 5 years duration from a recognized university.
  • Candidates who are in the final year of their LLB/BL degree programme can also appear for the exam, but must have completed the degree and fulfilled all university requirements before counseling.
  • A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate is required for the LLB/BL degree for the General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories.
  • Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories get a relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks requirement, meaning they need a minimum of 45% marks.

Q:   What is the TS LAWCET allotment list?
A: 

The TS LAWCET allotment list is a list of candidates who have been shortlisted for counseling based on their rank in the TS LAWCET entrance exam. The allotment list is prepared separately for General/Open category candidates, OBC category candidates, and SC/ST category candidates. Candidates cannot raise objections against the allotment list.

The TS LAWCET allotment list is released by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), Telangana. Candidates can check their TS LAWCET allotment list on the official website of the TSCHE LAWCET website, lawcet.tsche.ac.in.

Q:   When will the TS LAWCET 2026 admit card be released?
A: 

TS LAWCET admit card 2026 will be released on the website of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE): lawcet.tgche.ac.in. The admit card will be released in online mode only as TS LAWCET hall ticket tentatively 7-10 days before the exam. Candidates will have to download the admit card before the TS LAWCET 2026 exam and take its multiple printouts. They need to affix their coloured passport-size photograph to their TS LAWCET hall ticket or admit card.

To download the TS LAWCET admit card or hall ticket, TS LAWCET applicants need their TS LAWCET registration number, hall ticket number of their qualifying exam and date of birth. After enetering these details, you need to click on "Download Hallticket" button.

A: 

If you can not download the TS LAWCET admit card, check the following: the internet connection is working and stable. If your internet connection is not working and is unstable, you will not be able to download your admit card. Make sure you enter your registration number, qualifying exam hall ticket number, and date of birth correctly. If you are not able to download the TS LAWCET hall ticket through a particular device, you need to use another device to do so. If you fail to download the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET hall ticket event after using the methods, you need to contact the Telangana State Admission Council (TSCHE) by phone or by email. The email address and phone number of the helpdesk can be found on the official website of APSCHE.

How to Fill Out the TS LAWCET/PGLCET 2026 Application Form? 

To fill out the application form for TS LAWCET or TS PGLCET, candidates will have to first visit the LAWCET TSCHE website, lawcet.tsche.ac.in, then follow two main steps: 1) Application Fee Payment; and 2) Form-filling. These steps in detail have been mentioned below: 

 STEP 1: Payment of application fee for TS LAWCET/PGLCET

  • First candidates need to visit the LAWCET Portal or the website of TSCHE, lawcet.tsche.ac.in/. Thereafter, they will have to click on the payment link, "STEP 1: Application Fee Payment" as shown in the following image (for reference only):

  • Once you click on the payment link, a new window similar to the image shown below will open:

  • Now, fill out the required details mentioned below: 
  1. Candidate's name (as per SSC)
  2. Date of Birth
  3. Candidate's Mobile Number
  4. Alternate Mobile Number 
  5. E-Mail ID
  6. Qualifying Exam Hall Ticket No./Roll No./Registration No
  7. Category (if you belong to a reserved category)
  8. Select law course (3-year LLB, 5-year LLB or LLM)
  • Once you have filled out all the details, you need to click on the "Proceed Payment" option. You can pay the fee through Debit/ Credit Card or Net Banking.

The application fee that needs to be paid to apply for TS LAWCET/PGLCET 2026 is mentioned below:

Notes:

  • Candidates must note down the “Transaction ID” generated after the payment process is complete. The two IDs are essential for future reference.
  • The fees mentioned above are subject to change based on the decision of TGCHE.

STEP 2: Filling the Application Form

After the successful payment of TS LAWCET application fee, candidates need to complete the second step, "STEP 2: Fill Out Application Form".

Details that candidates need to fill in the application form are mentioned below:

1. Candidate’s Details: This includes filling of details such as name, mother’s name, father’s name, date of birth, and gender.

2. Qualifying Examination: In this column, candidates need to select their qualification [LLB/ Degree in any other stream/ Intermediate (10+2)] and specify all related information. This includes year of passing, hall ticket number of qualifying exam, marks secured, qualifying exam and place of study.

3. Entrance Exam: This includes selecting the entrance exam that candidates want to give - TSPGLCET/ LAWCET- 5 Years/ LAWCET- 3 Years

4. Photo and Signature: Candidates need to upload their recent passport size digital coloured photograph (size < 30 KB) and digital signature (size 15 KB).

5. Regional Centre to Appear for the Test: Here, candidates need to select their preference for TSLAWCET exam centre from the drop-down list.

6. Category: Candidates need to select a category - OC/ BC-A/ BC-B/ BC-C/ BC-D/ BC-E/ SC/ ST. Apart from these, candidates can also select the NCC/ CAP/ Sports if they are applying for admissions under a special category.

7. Local Area Status: Here, aspirants need to select a status such as - TS OU/ Residuary AP (AU/ SUV)/ Non-Local

8. Minority: Candidates belonging to the minority group need to select the “Minority” checkbox and candidates not belonging to the minority group need to select the “Non-minority” checkbox.

9. Address

10. SSC or Equivalent (10th Class): It requires details such as a candidate’s SSC board name, hall ticket number, passed month and year, and place of study.

11. Physically Challenged: Here, candidates need to select their type of physical challenge (visual handicapped/ hearing impaired/ ortho handicapped) (if applicable).

12. Intermediate (12th Class): It requires details such as a candidate’s inter board name, hall ticket number, passed month and year, and place of study.

After submitting, a preview of your filled application form will show up on the screen. When the process for TS LAWCET 2026 or TS PGLCET 2026 is done, you can take a printout of the filled TS LAWCET application form for your record.

Note: If candidates wish to make any changes after the online application is submitted, they can do so by logging in to the TS LAWCET website with details like payment reference ID, transaction ID, and qualifying exam hall ticket number. In case candidates want to modify the information which is not allowed on the website, they can submit their complaint by selecting the “Submit Complaint” option. The option is present on the Help Desk icon present on the Home page of the website.

After completing your TS LAWCET 2026 registration, follow these important steps with their respective dates to stay on track for the admission process.

  • Correction of Application Form: If you made any mistakes while filling the form, you can correct them between 03-05-2026 to 08-05-2026.
  • Download Hall Ticket: The TS LAWCET 2026 hall ticket will be available from 12-05-2026 on the TS LAWCET official website. Download and print it for the exam.
  • TS LAWCET 2026 Exam Date: The exam will be held on 18-05-2026.
    • TS LAWCET 3-Year Course (3 YDC): 09:30 AM to 11:00 AM & 12:30 PM to 02:00 PM

To be eligible to appear for the TS LAWCET exam, there is no UPPER Age limit. However, for the 3-year LLB course, the candidate must have cleared graduation or must be in the final year of graduation.
