The JMI eligibility criteria 2024 for Postgraduate and PG diploma courses are prescribed by the JMI admission committee. JMI Exam PG eligibility criteria

The JMI entrance exam eligibility criteria are determined by the exam authorities of the Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI). The university conducts the JMI entrance test to shortlist candidates for admission in various courses offered by the varsity. The admission process of the entrance exam starts in March.

Candidates are required to register on the exam website of Jamia Millia Islamia: jmicoe.in. Candidates can fill out the JMI exam application form for more than one course. The application process continues for a month. The national-level entrance exam is conducted in offline mode (pen-paper based) at various exam centres. JMI 2024 Eligibility Criteria For Postgraduate Courses

Parameters that candidates need to meet to fulfil JMI eligibility criteria for postgraduate (PG) level law courses are mentioned below:

MA Mass Communication/MA (Convergent Journalism)/ PG Diploma in Still Photography & Visual Communication Graduation in any discipline with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate 
MSc Physics BSc with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and at least 55% marks in the subject concerned
MSc Chemistry BSc (H) Chemistry or BSc (with Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, Computer Science, Geology, Geography) with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and at least 55% marks in Chemistry
MSc (Mathematics with Computer Science) BSc (Hons) Mathematics / BSc (Hons) Applied Mathematics with 50% marks both in aggregate and in Mathematics (OR)
BSc with Mathematics securing not less than 50% marks both in aggregate and in Mathematics.
MSc (Bioinformatics) Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering/Medicine/ Pharmacy with 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade and Mathematics at X level
MSc (Biosciences) BSc in any area of Biosciences/Biotechnology with not less than 50% marks in aggregate
MSc (Biochemistry) BSc./BSc (Hons.) in any area of Biology or Chemistry (with Biology subject as Subsidiary) with at least 50% marks in aggregate
MSc Biotechnology B. Pharma./B.Sc./B.Sc.(Hons.) in Biosciences/Biotechnology/Biotechnology (Vocational)/ Bio-Chemistry/ Microbiology / Gene Or in any Area of Modern Biology with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
MSc (Electronics) BSc (Hons) Electronics/ Physics/ Instrumentation or B. Appl. Sc (Hons) in Instrumentation/ B. Applied Sc. In Instrumentation/ B.Sc. Instrumentation/ B.Sc (Electronics)/ B.Sc. (pass) / B. Vocational Solar Energy Degree ,with Physics, Maths as optional subjects with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination
MA/MSc (Mathematics) B.A.(Hons) Mathematics/ B.Sc.(Hons) Mathematics/ B.Sc.(Hons) Applied Mathematics with at least 50% marks both in aggregate and in Mathematics OR
B.A./B.Sc. with Mathematics having not less than 50% marks both in aggregate and in Mathematics. OR
B.El.Ed./Physical Education with at least 50% marks in aggregate and in Mathematics.
MA/MSc (Geography) BA/BSc (Hons) Geography, three years course with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. OR
B.A/B.Sc. with not less than 55% marks in Geography and 50% marks in aggregate
M.A. (English)/M.A. (History)/M.A. (Hindi) B.A./ B.Sc. or B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.(Hons.) Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate OR in the subject concerned.
M.A. (Economics) B.A./B.A.(Hons.) in the subject concerned with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. OR B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. or B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.(Hons.) with not less than 55% marks in aggregate
M.A. (Political Science) B.A.(Hons.) in Political Science with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. OR
(ii) B.A. with Political Science with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. OR
(iii) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. or B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.(Hons.) with not less than 55% marks in aggregate
M.Ed (i) At least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in B.Ed./B.A. B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed./B.El.Ed. OR
(ii) D.El.Ed. with an undergraduate degree (with 50% marks in each).
LL.M LL.B. with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate or equivalent grade points
M.C.A. (i) Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in (a) Computer Science/ Engineering/ Applications/ Equivalent Allied OR
(b) Any other discipline with Mathematics at 10+2 level
M.B.A. Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.
M.Com.(Business Management) B.Com./BBS/BBA/BIBF/B.Com.(Pass) or an equivalent examination with 55% marks in aggregate or B.Com./BBS/BBA/BIBF(Hons.) with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate.
M.Arch. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent degree recognized by the Council of Architecture with not less than 50% marks in absolute system or a minimum grade corresponding to 50% marks on a 10-point scale.

PG Diploma in Journalism (Hindi Medium)/PG Diploma in TV Journalism (Hindi Medium) Graduation degree in any stream from a recognised college with a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate

PG Diploma in Acting Graduation in any discipline
P.G.Diploma in Computer Applications Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade and Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10th level
P.G.Diploma in Remote Sensing & GIS Application B.A./B.Sc. in Geography and allied subjects (Geology, Agriculture Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Civil Engg., Planning & Architecture) with 50% marks.
P.G. Diploma in Educational Management A candidate who has done graduation in any discipline with 50% marks or post-graduation shall be eligible for admission to this course
P.G. Diploma in Broadcast Technology (Self Financed) Bachelor’s degree(10+2+3) in any subject with minimum 45% marks in aggregate and Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) / Intermediate or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
P.G. Diploma in Labour Laws Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution or an equivalent examination with not less than 45% marks in aggregate
P.G. Diploma in Air and Space Laws Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution or an equivalent examination with not less than 45% marks in aggregate
P G Diploma in Disaster Management Graduate in any stream with not less than 45% marks.
P G Diploma in Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Design Thinking Applicants must hold a Bachelor Degree (10+2+3) from a recognized university in any discipline, with at least 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade. 

JMI Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

Universities in India set upper or lower age limits for admission to their courses. However, JMI does not impose age restrictions. There is no upper age limit to appear in the JMI 2024 exam. However, candidates securing the same rank and marks in the JMI exam will be given preference, if they are higher in age than the others.
