Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is one of the most renowned universities in the nation and it conducts its own JMI Entrance Exam in order to offer students admission in its undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil, PhD, diploma, PG diploma and certificate courses. The national-level entrance exam is conducted once a year and the mode of the entrance exam is offline (pen and paper based). Jamia Millia Islamia Results 2023

The University will prepare the rank list as per the merit of the entrance test score of candidates in various programs based on the provisions made in the University Ordinances and in accordance with various applicable reservations and relaxations. The lists of provisionally selected candidates for admission will be displayed on the Jamia’s website www.jmicoe.in. No intimation regarding the result will be sent to the candidates by post. The list of candidates selected for interview, wherever applicable, will be displayed in ascending order of their Entrance Test Roll Number. JMI may display additional lists of candidates selected from the waiting list in order of merit as per the University procedure. In case where many courses/branch are in one programme, the candidate will be allotted as per the preference filled in the application form, strictly as per merit and JMI admission rules.

Jamia Millia Islamia will announce the JMI Entrance Exam 2026 result on the official website. JMI will also inform candidates who had appeared for the exam through SMS on their registered mobine number. Various media portals and social media platforms will announce the declaration of results. Test takers must keep a check on the official websites as well as opt for notifications or alerts at the news and social media platforms to get instantly notified about the declaration of JMI Entrance Exam result.

No, Jamia Millia Islamia does not send the JMI Entrance Exam result by post to any candidate. The result has to be viewed online from the official website of JMI Exam. Candidates must check their scores and take a printout of the result till the admission process is complete. The JMI Entrance Exam result is declared in the form of merit list which contains the candidate's individual score and the cut off for every category. Candidates meeting the cut off will be called for counselling or interview (if required).

The total seat intake for MBA programme for all the offered specialisations is 314 at Jamia Millia Islamia. Jamia MBA admission is completely entrance-based at Jamia Millia Islamia University. At the postgraduate level, Jamia offers numerous MBA and E-MBA programmes to students in the field of Management. This two-year course is offered as a General course and is also provided across numerous specialisations, namely International Business, Entrepreneurship and Family Business and Healthcare and Hospital Management, among others

What After The Declaration Of JMI Result 2023?

The admission process of Jamia Millia Islamia is such that after the entrance test, counseling is conducted directly for some programmes whereas for admission to some programmes shortlisted candidates have to appear for an interview. Candidates clearing the interview rounds are then offered admission in their respective courses on the basis of merit. The candidates are required to complete their Jamia Millia Islamia admission formalities as per the admission schedule. Candidates are required to bring their JMI admit card and attested copies of the following documents at the time of admission.

  • Marksheet of qualifying exam (Class 12, graduation, postgraduation)
  • Age proof based on the certificate of high school/secondary school or equivalent examination
  • Reserved category certificate
  • Character Certificate
  • Permanent address proof
  • Experience and No Objection Certificates (In case of working candidates)

What is Tie-Breaking Policy?

The following policy is adopted to break the tie in case two candidates get the same scores in the JMI entrance exam.

  • In all other programmes except BTech, BArch, BDS, the tie is resolved on the basis of the date of birth that is the candidates older in age is given the higher rank.
  • For interview programmes, candidates securing high marks in the entrance exam is given higher rank. If the marks in the written test are same then the date of birth criteria is used that is, candidates older in age is given a higher rank.
  • For BTech, BArch and BDS programmes, the rank is allotted by the agency conducting the test.

Hostel fee at JMI is around INR 30,950 for 6 months. This includes INR 15,350  for accomodation and other charges and INR 15,600 for mess charges. Hostel fee may differ for boys and girls.

At Jamia Millia Islamia, self-financed MBA course is not subsidised by the government. Admitted students need to bear the full-cost of such a programme. Regular MBA is subsidised by the government.
