Postgraduate Courses and PG Diploma: The candidate should have done their BA in Journalism and Mass Communication/BJMC/BMM or equivalent discipline from a recognised University and should have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate to be eligible.

Certificate Courses: The candidate should have done their Class 12 from a recognised board in any stream and should have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate to be eligible.

Admission Process: For admission to IMCFTS, students are required to register and apply online on the official website of Institute of Mass Communication Film & Television Studies. Admission to UG and certificate courses are done through merit, i.e. if the student makes the merit list, they are offered admission to the institute. For admission to PG and PG Diploma courses, students are required to appear for an entrance exam. Students who clear the entrance exam and make the merit list, are offered admission.

St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata

No, a candidate cannot fill FTII JET application form offline. The Film and Television Institute of India releases JET registration form in online mode and candidates have to fill and submit the same in online form only. No offline application form will be accepted by FTII for entrance exam.

The last date to register for FTII JET 2026 was April 09, 2026.
