TANCET 2020 exam dates

Anna University has announced TANCET 2020 exam dates. TANCET 2020 is scheduled to be conducted on February 29 for  MBA and MCA courses. For MTechMArchMPlan and ME programmes, the exam will be conducted on March 1, 2020. TANCET registrations will begin on January 7, 2020. Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is conducted in paper-based test mode and TANCET application forms can be filled online only on the official website. TANCET 2020: Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who are appearing for MBA course must have completed their graduation from a recognized university in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate
  • Candidates who are appearing for MCA course must have completed their graduation or 10+2 with mathematics as one of the subjects and scored at least 50% aggregate
  • Candidates appearing for other courses must have completed their B.Tech/ B.E from a recognized university in a relevant field with 50% aggregate
  • Candidates who have completed 10+2+AMIE or 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE are also eligible
  • Candidates belonging to reserved category must have scored at least 45% aggregate along with the above mentioned criteria

TANCET 2020: How to apply

Follow the steps given below to know how to register for TANCET 2020 exam.

  • Visit the official website of Anna University
  • Click on ‘Registration’ on the top menu bar
  • Read the instruction given and then click on the ‘Register’ button
  • Enter details like name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number, etc. and then click ‘Submit’
  • Login using the username and password which candidates will receive on their registered mobile number and email ID
  • Candidates will be redirected to TANCET application form
  • Fill in personal details, academic details and upload a valid photograph and scanned copy of signatures
  • Click ‘Proceed to Payment’ button to pay the application fees

Please note: Candidates can pay the application fee online only through credit card/ debit card/ net banking.

For Anna University admission to the BE courses via TNEA, a good rank would depend on the category. For the General AI, the cutoff ranged from 28 to 239138 for the BE CSE course.
