  • Firstly, read the question carefully before attempting it. Before you approach any question it is important to carefully read and analyse the question. Try to figure out what the relationships are in the question. The question will contain all the information that is required to arrive at an answer. Carefully and logically assess the question and then arrive at the conclusion.
  • Do not make unreasonable assumptions. As mentioned before, this section assesses how well can you interpret a given set of data or information and derive the required information from it. Every conclusion that you take out should only be based on the information provided in the question.
  • Try looking at the questions and the options carefully and critically. Find out reasons as to why one option is correct and others are not. That is what the LR section is all about. It requires you to go deep and search out the solution to a problem.
  • The success of acing the question is practice. The best way to prepare for any entrance exam is to practice and there is no substitute for it. Practice many mock tests and solve an ample number of sample papers. Try solving a variety of questions. According to the experts, students must practice at least five hours a week to crack the LR section.
  • Solving questions is one thing, but solving them with accuracy is another. It is important to keep speed and accuracy in mind when attempting the LR section. Develop your critical thinking skills. If you get one arrangement wrong, it is likely that you may get the other related questions wrong as well. Hence, solving the question with accuracy is very important.
