Factors Affecting the TG ICET Safe Score
The safe score for a particular year is not static and can change based oin multiple factors. Some of the factors influencing TG ICET safe score are as follows:
- Difficulty level of the exam: If the question paper is difficult, a lower score may still yield a high rank. Conversely, an easy paper requires higher scores to maintain the same rank.
- Total test takers: The total number of registered and appearing candidates directly affects the competition for seats.
- Seat Available for admission via TG ICET: Fluctuations in the total number of MBA and MCA seats offered by colleges impact cutoff ranks.
- Normalisation process: Because the exam is conducted across multiple sessions (e.g., June 8 and 9, 2026), the TGCHE uses a normalisation process to balance difficulty variations between different question papers, which determines the final rank.

TG ICET Tie Breaking Criteria
TGCHE allots a rank while preparing the results. The space below mentions the TG ICET tie breaking criteria for rank allocation in case two or more candidates get a similar score.
- Candidate securing more marks in section A of TS ICET 2026 will have the first preference for TS ICET rank allotment.
- In case of an equal score in section A, the candidate who has secured more marks in section B will be preferred for allotment of TG ICET rank.
- If the tie still prevails, TGCHE will consider the age of the candidate. The one who is older as per the date of birth in the SSC certificate will get the preference for TS ICET 2026 rank allotment.
TG ICET rank is only allocated to candidates who pass the exam as per the TG ICET qualifying criteria. Candidates belonging to reserved category and have a score equal to zero are allotted rank directly based on their age. Older candidates are placed higher in the TS ICET rank list.
