SMFWBEE Eligibility Criteria 2026

Students who want to take admission to paramedical courses must fulfill the eligibility conditions:

Admissions to the paramedical courses will be based on the marks obtained in the SMFWBEE entrance examination, as most of the paramedical colleges in West Bengal accept SMFWBEE scores for granting admission. SMFWBEE Exam Pattern 2026

The SMFWBEE exam comprises 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with four options each. Students will be provided 3 hours to attempt the question paper. According to the SMFWBEE exam pattern, there are two papers. In the first paper, there are two sections: Physics and Chemistry. Each paper will have 25 questions. The second paper comprised a Biology section with 50 questions. Each question will carry one mark. There will be NO negative marking for an incorrect answer.

SMFWBEE Syllabus 2026

The exam conducting authorities don't release the official syllabus of SMFWBEE in the notification. There will be three sections from which questions will be asked in the exam which are Physics, Chemistry & Biology. There will be 100 questions in total from which questions will be asked in the exam.

SMFWBEE Admit Card 2026

The authorities will release the SMFWBEE admit card in online mode on the official website. Applicants will be able to download the SMFWBEE hall ticket 2026 by entering their login details. As the exam will be conducted in offline mode, applicants are advised to ensure that all the details mentioned in the admit card of SMFWBEE 2026 are correct.

Candidates appearing in the offline mode will have to carry to the examination centre a printed hard copy of the SMFWBEE admit card and photo ID proof. The admit cards will be issued only based on the information provided by the candidate. All applicants who appear to be prima facie eligible will be issued admit cards and shall be provisionally permitted to sit for SMFWBEE-2026.

SMFWBEE 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

Read the exam day guidelines to know the prerequisites before entering the examination hall:

Candidates will be allowed to enter the examination centre 30 minutes before the commencement of the test.
No candidate shall be allowed to enter the exam centre beyond the scheduled time of commencement of the test
No candidate will be allowed to sit for the test in any centre other than the one mentioned in the admit card
Candidates must carry a hard copy of the SMFWBEE-2026 admit card and a copy of a colored photograph uploaded during the online application process.
Candidates must also carry any valid photo identity card, Aadhar card/PAN card / Passport/ 10th standard admit card/ School – ID card.
Candidates are not allowed to carry any written or printed material, calculator, pen, document, log table, wristwatch, or any communication device like mobile phones, etc., inside the examination hall
No candidate will leave the examination hall till the end of the test. After all OMRs are collected & tallied by the invigilator, candidates can leave the hall.
Candidates will not be allowed to take the question booklet after the entrance exam.

SMFWBEE Result 2026

After the conclusion of the exam, the authorities will release the results of the SMFWBEE exam in online mode. The authorities will release the SMFWBEE result in a PDF format.

Based on the papers (subjects) that appeared in the SMFWBEE exam, followed by marks scored thereon, seven separate Merit Rank Lists shall be published as per the following details:

A. Merit Rank List-I: Combined [General+EWS+ST+SC+OBC(A)+OBC(B)+PH]

B. Merit Rank List-II: Physically Handicapped

C. Merit Rank List-III: EWS

D. Merit Rank List- IV: ST

E. Merit Rank List-V: SC

a. Ranking of the merit list shall be done in descending order of total marks scored in all the subjects as stated above. However, in case of ties, the tie-breaking rules shall apply to them in the determination of the merit rank.

b. Separate reserved category merit lists will be published for the respective category of students eg., EWS Rank, SC Rank, ST Rank, and PH Rank.

c. The list will be prepared based on the scores of candidates who appeared in the combined paper of Physics and Chemistry and one paper in Biology.

SMFWBEE Selection Process 2026

The selection of candidates is done as per the marks obtained in the entrance examination. Only those candidates whose names will be found on the merit list are advised to appear in the counseling process of the SMFWBEE exam.

If the applicant's name is published in the SMFWBEE merit list during the admission process. Then, candidates must pay a fee of INR 20,000 so that their seat can be booked for the admission process.

The counseling will be made for admission to different Medical Colleges / Govt. Institutions/ in respect of successful candidates from the merit list, in order of merit, subject to the availability of seats.
