The AIBE exam is aimed at judging candidates' understanding of law subjects and whether they are fit enough to practice in a court of law. It may be noted that questions in the AIBE 20 exam will be asked from 19 topics, but each of these topics will carry a different weightage. For example, only two questions will be asked about Company Law, but there will be 10 questions about Constitutional Law. These will be aspects you need to be aware of to ace the AIBE exam.

AIBE 20 Preparation Tips 2025

To effectively prepare for the AIBE exam, it was not enough to simply slog and pile up the study hours. After all, it was not about how much you study, but also about what and how you study. Here are few AIBE preparation tips suggested for AIBE XX to help candidates crack the AIBE 2025:

AIBE syllabus and exam pattern - While it may seem a bit obvious, many of us tend to overlook the syllabus and keep reading just about whatever is in front of us. But this strategy may prove to be counterproductive as you will entangle the mind and brain with a lot of irrelevant stuff. Therefore, preparing important topics from AIBE syllabus, and knowing the exam pattern beforehand will help you score well in the exam. 

Making a study timetable - The ideal strategy to score well in AIBE examination begins with a correct preparation schedule. So, draw up a study plan, including daily study hours, topics to be covered, weekly, and monthly targets. This way you won't lose track of your preparation and be focused on your goal.

Readying the study material - As BCI is planning to make testing parameters stricter this year, it would be wise to get AIBE reference material for better preparation. The reference material for AIBE should be precise, and as per the exam pattern. Candidates should avoid mugging up Bare Acts, but understand fundamentals in detail. The reference books for AIBE should be from a recommended author, preferably an exam expert. 

Reading newspapers - For AIBE exam preparation, one should read in detail about the groundbreaking case laws of all times. Moreover, Newspapers carry details of legal importance in every news. Therefore, candidates should read that news piece, article, or opinion pieces of legal importance. Also, keep a tab on what is happening at the national and international levels, around the law domain.   

Timely Revision: Revise all the topics as it will help solidify what you have already read. Revise each chapter, especially the nagging topics.  

• Practice as many previous years' AIBE question papers and sample papers as possible
• If you have maintained short notes of key points, do revisit them so that they stay fresh.

BCI released the AIBE XX Admit Card on November 15, 2025. Candidates must note that AIBE 20 Hall Ticket 2025 was released online. AIBE XX admit card 2025 is an important document for candidates. It carries information like roll number, date and time of the AIBE exam, and reporting time.

AIBE 20 Exam Centres 2025

AIBE 20 (XX) 2025 exam was conducted in around 55 cities across India. Candidates were able to select AIBE exam cities at the time of filling the application form. AIBE XX (20) Exam Day Guidelines

The exam-day guidelines are described below. Note that candidates can find these guidelines mentioned on their AIBE 2025 admit card too.  

1. Last-minute exam tips - Candidates are advised to do a quick revision of important points. Not to read any new topics as it will create undue pressure and eat into valuable revision time. 
2. Reporting time - Report at the allotted AIBE exam center at least an hour before the commencement of exams.
3. Carry these items with you - Two black (or blue) ballpoint pens to mark answers on OMR sheet, admit card, photo ID, and Bare Acts
4. Avoid taking these items to the exam centre - Electronic items like smartphones, smartwatches, and tablets; Jewellery or any other valuables
5. Before exam-starts - Follow the instructions given by the invigilator and carefully read the instructions given in the question booklet.
6. Taking the exam - Candidates are advised to start with the easy questions first; to ensure they do not miss out on sure-shot marks. Also, if they are not able to solve a question, they do not get stuck and panic. Once they are done with the rest of the questions, come back and give it a second shot. 
7. How to do time management - Time seems to fly when aspirants are taking an exam! But if they want to slow it down and ensure they can attempt all the 100 questions, they are advised to declutter their mind and stay focused. Don't let the mind linger; also, get rid of the negativity. Keep saying to yourself I can do it. Once the exam paper is in front of you, take one question at a time; don't look or think too far ahead. Stay in the moment. Remember the composure you show now is going to reap rich rewards. Follow the tips mentioned in the earlier point: start with the easy questions and then move on to the rest; don't waste time on difficult questions (especially at the start). 

The BCI has closed the AIBE 20 Application Process 2025 on the official website. The BCI allowed the candidates who have successfully registered for the exam to access the AIBE 20 Application Correction Window 2025. 

The candidates were advised to fill following details in their application form for AIBE 20:

• Academic qualification details 
• State Bar Council Enrollment details 
• Preferred test cities for taking AIBE exam
• Preferred test medium from 22 vernacular languages

The Bar Council of India conducts the All India Bar Examination as per the process below:

Apply for AIBE 20 (XX) exam

Candidates first have to apply for the AIBE exam in online mode on the official website of BCI. The AIBE application process includes three stages - registration, application form filling and application fee payment. AIBE application fee is INR 3,560 for General, OBC, Gen-PWD and OBC-PwD categories and INR 2,560 for SC, ST, SC-PWD and ST-PWD categories. The fee payment can be done in two modes - online (using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card) and offline (using bank challan). 

Download AIBE 20 (XX) admit card

All applicants who have successfully submitted their AIBE 20 (XX) application form will be issued an AIBE admit card to appear for the examination. They can download the admit card from the official website of BCI by using their registration ID and password. AIBE XX admit card contains all important details.

Appear for AIBE (XX) exam

Candidates can appear for the examination at the allotted AIBE test centre. Earlier, AIBE was an open-book examination so candidates could carry their study material, including books, notes, etc., inside the exam hall. However, from 2021 onwards, AIBE is no longer an open-book exam. Candidates will be allowed to carry only Bare Acts without short notes.

The BCI will release the AIBE answer key on its official website for candidates to check their answers. The Council will first release the provisional and then final answer key for the exam. Through AIBE answer key, candidates can have the correct estimation of the score that they can secure in the exam.

Once the final answer key is out, BCI will announce the AIBE result. Candidates can check their results by visiting the official website.

 Get AIBE COP

Candidates who will clear the bar examination will be given with the Certificate of Practice. BCI notifies the availability ofthe  COP to the qualified candidates in due time after which they can obtain it from their state bar councils.
