NLSAT 2026: Registration (OPEN), Exam Date (Apr 26), Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

Candidates who want to apply to the NLSIU for BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programs must take the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). However, for admissions into its three-year LLB course, Master’s Programme in Public Policy, PhD (Law), and PhD (Interdisciplinary) programmes candidates have to appear for NLSAT 2026. 

The total seat intake for a three-year LLB at NLSIU Bangalore is 120. It will be based on the entrance exam. The final selection process is based on the entrance test scores out of 140 marks, and personal interview scores out of 10 marks.

NLSAT admit card 2026 will be released atleast 15 days before the NLSAT Exam. The admit card will be issued to candidates who have successfully applied for NLSAT Exam 2026. Candidates will be able to download their admit card from the official website - nls.ac.in. Candidates have to login with Username and Password as registered to access the admit card. Without the NLSAT 2026 hall ticket candidates will not be allowed to appear in NLSAT Exam 2026. 

Candidates must note that their is no age limit. But to appear in the exam there are certain eligibility criteria that must be completed. You must check it before going ahead with the registration form. 

Candidates can pay the NLSAT 2026 Application Fee on or before the last date. NLSAT 2026 Application Form can be filled by visiting the official website; i.e. admissions.nls.ac.in. The application fee payable for the three-year LLB course of NLSIU admissions was as under:

The mode of examination is offline. As per the pattern the exam will be conducted in two parts. The part A of the exam will carry objective questions while second part will have subjective based questions. 

The NLSAT 2026 Application Process has already begun. The last date of apply is March 23, 2026. The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bengaluru will conduct the National Law School Admission Test (NLSAT 2026) registration for three-year LLB, two-year MA Public Policy, PhD programmes for the academic year 2026-27 in online mode. Candidates are advised to fill the NLSAT Application Form 2026 on or before the last date. 

NLSAT Registration 2026 will begin on November 15, 2025. Candidates must note that NLSAT Registration is important to appear in exam. NLSAT Notification will carry all important details like dates, registration process, and other information. NLSAT 2026 Exam will be held on April 26, 2026. The total score in NLSAT 2026 is 150 marks. Candidates must note that the marking scheme is divided in two parts. For first section it is 80 marks and for second one it is 70. There is no negative marking.

NLSAT 2026 Exam pattern consist of multiple choice questions. This section will be for a total of 75 marks. Part B is the subjective based for 60 marks and analytical ability for 15 marks. The negative marking of 0.25 marks is also there.

Once downloaded, candidates must keep them safely until admission is over. The hall ticket is a important document that one must not forget to carry to the test center on the day of exam. Those who fail to carry will not be allowed to appear

NLSAT 2026 Exam Date has not been announced yet.  The admit card will be issued to candidates who have successfully applied for the exam. Candidates will be able to download their hall ticket from nls.ac.in. They can login with Username and Password as registered to access the admit card. 

The NLSAT Exam will be held in English. All questions and instructions will be in same language so you are expected to know the language effectively to answer the questions.

The NLSAT 2026 results will be released few days after the final answer key is published. NLSAT Exam 2026 will be held in offline pen-paper-based mode. Candidates will be given two hours to complete the exam. NLSAT 2026 exam will be conducted in more than 139 exam centers in India.
