The prelims exam is held in four shifts and mains is conducted in single shift. IBPS RRB Clerk prelims exam timings are 9.05 AM to 9.50 AM, 11.20 AM to 12.05 PM, 1.35 PM to 2.20 PM and 3.50 PM to 4.35 PM. IBPS RRB mains exam time is 9.35 AM to 11.35 AM. IBPS RRB Exam Shift Timings 2026: Exam Instructions

IBPS RRB exam day guidelines are given below.

  • Bring the admit card with your photograph affixed thereon, a photocopy of photo identity proof stapled with it, and the same (currently valid) photo ID in original along with one additional photograph
  • Currently valid photo identity proof may be PAN Card/Passport/Permanent Driving License/Voter’s Card with photograph/Bank Passbook with photograph/Photo Identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer or People’s Representative on official letterhead/Valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognized College or University/Aadhar Card/E- aadhar Card with a photograph/ Employee ID/ Bar Council Identity card with photograph.
  • Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License are not accepted as valid ID proof
  • Candidates reporting without one photograph pasted on the Call Letter and one additional photograph will not be allowed to appear for the examination.
  • Candidates must bring an ink stamp pad and glue for affixing left thumb impression and pasting photographs on the attendance sheet
  • After the examination, candidates are required to keep the prelims admit card safely along with a copy of the attached Photo ID proof (both duly authenticated/stamped by Exam officials) and bring both documents at the time of the main examination (if shortlisted)

IBPS RRB scorecard is required to be downloaded online only. There is no facility to check the same offline. It is released few days after the declaration of the result. Candidates can get it by logging with the required credentials.

There is no facility to recheck IBPS RRB result. The same announced by the examination authority is considered as final. The result is announced online. Candidates can check their results by logging with the required credentials.

IBPS RRB normalisation of marks is done since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. This is followed to adjust the difficulty level of the questions across various sessions. The result and cut off are decided based on normalisation.
