IBPS RRB Exam Day Guidelines 2024: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) released IBPS RRB exam day guidelines 2024 along with the admit card. IBPS RRB exam day guidelines contain important instructions related to the exam that range from dress code to the required documents and stationery that are needed during the exam. While appearing for the mains exam, candidates need to follow a set of rules and regulations laid down by the examination authority. IBPS RRB Exam Day Guidelines 2024: General Instructions

Candidates can check below a few general instructions for the exam.

  • Candidates must note the date, time, and address of the exam given in the IBPS RRB admit card
  • Candidates must visit IBPS RRB exam centre one day before the exam to confirm the location and reach exam centre on time
  • Latecomers will not be allowed to enter the exam centre
  • Candidates must bring the admit card to the examination centre along with recent passport size photograph duly pasted on it. Candidates need to paste one photograph on the admit card and one photograph they need to bring to the exam centre
  • Candidates are not allowed to use calculators, books, notebooks or written notes, cell phones, or any other electronic device
  • Candidates are required to bring the authenticated prelims admit card and photo-identity proof along with the mains admit card to the exam centre
  • Candidates must bring additional passport-size photographs or else they will not be allowed to appear for the exam
  • Candidates must bring valid photo identity proof such as PAN Card/Passport/ Permanent Driving License/Voter’s Card with photograph/Bank Passbook with photograph/Photo Identity proof with photograph issued by a Gazetted Officer(on official letterhead)/Photo Identity proof issued by a People’s Representative along with a photograph (on official letterhead)/Identity Card issued by a recognised College/ University/Aadhar/E-Aadhar Card with a photograph / Bar Council Identity card with photograph /Employee ID). Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License are not accepted as valid ID proof
  • Any stationery items such as bits of paper, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, log table, electronic pen/scanner
  • Any communication device such as bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band etc. is not allowed
  • Other items such as goggles, handbags, hair-pin, hair-band, belt, cap, watch/wrist watch, Camera, metallic item, eatable items opened or packed are not allowed
  • Candidates are advised not to wear ornaments such as rings, earrings, nose-pin, chains/necklaces, pendants, badges, brooch, etc

IBPS RRB Exam Day Guidelines 2024: COVID-19 Rules

Candidates need to follow the below-mentioned COVID-19 guidelines.

  • Candidates are required to report at the exam centre as per the time slot mentioned on the admit card
  • Candidates are required to report atleast 15 minutes before the reporting time
  • Mapping of ‘Candidate Roll Number and ‘Lab Number’ will not be displayed outside the exam venue
  • Candidates need to wear masks while appearing for the exam
  • They are allowed to carry a personal transparent water bottle
  • Candidates can carry personal hand sanitiser of 50 ml
  • Candidate should maintain a safe social distance from one another
  • Candidates must have Aarogya Setu app installed on their mobile phones
  • Candidates' registration will be done through photo capture
  • Rough sheets will be kept at each candidate’s desk. After the end of the examination, candidates need to drop the rough sheets in the designated dropbox as instructed at the venue

IRIS Scan

IRIS is scanned at the exam venue in lieu of biometric thumb impression due to COVID-19 situation. The process is given below:

  • IRIS of the left eye is captured for all the candidates
  • Candidates should remove contact lenses and spectacles while capturing IRIS
  • Half feet distance between scanner and eye is maintained

IBPS RRB questions will appear in English and the selected language as applied to the state. The medium of the exam will be in the following languages.

IBPS RRB Exam Day Guidelines 2024: Online Exam Pattern

The process of IBPS RRB online test is explained below:

  • Candidates need to login using user ID and password provided on the admit card
  • The clock will be set at the server. The countdown timer is displayed in the top right corner of screen that shows the remaining time available to complete the exam
  • The question palette is displayed on the right side of screen and shows the status of each question
  • Candidates can click on their ‘Profile’ image on top right corner of their screen to change the language during the exam for the entire question paper. On clicking ‘Profile’ image they can select the desired language
  • Click on ‘Save & Next’ to save the answer and then go to the next question
  • Click on ‘Mark for Review & Next’ to save the answer and mark it for review to go the next question
  • To deselect the chosen answer, click on the button of the chosen option again or click on the ‘Clear Response’ button
  • Candidates can shuffle between tests and questions anytime during the exam
  • After the expiry of time candidates will not be able to attempt any question or check their answers. On completion of test time, answers of the candidates will be saved automatically by the computer system even if they have not clicked the ‘Submit’ button

IBPS RRB scorecard is required to be downloaded online only. There is no facility to check the same offline. It is released few days after the declaration of the result. Candidates can get it by logging with the required credentials.

There is no facility to recheck IBPS RRB result. The same announced by the examination authority is considered as final. The result is announced online. Candidates can check their results by logging with the required credentials.

IBPS RRB normalisation of marks is done since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. This is followed to adjust the difficulty level of the questions across various sessions. The result and cut off are decided based on normalisation.
