The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has conducted IBPS RRB PO/Officers Scale I 2020 mains exam on January 30. Candidates who had qualified the prelims exam, appeared for the mains exam. According to the students, the overall paper was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. The Reasoning section was easy, General Awareness section was easy to moderate, Numerical Ability section was easy to moderate, English/Hindi Language section was easy to moderate, Computer Knowledge was easy. As per experts, this year IBPS RRB cut off is expected to be high.

The mains exam of IBPS RRB PO comprised questions from Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English/Hindi Language and Computer Knowledge. A total of 200 questions were asked in the exam. Maximum marks allotted to the paper were 200. The duration of the test was two hours.

Harshit Vijay: “The overall paper of easy to moderate. I found the English and Computer Aptitude papers were easy, Reasoning and Quant papers were moderate and GA was tough.”

Anuj Srivastava: “The Maths and Reasoning sections were easy. In Maths, there were tabular DI (five to six questions), pie chart, missing number series (five questions), series (five questions), sufficiency (five to six questions) and rest were from Arithmetic. In Reasoning, there were questions from direction (three questions), inequalities (three questions), seating arrangement (five questions), puzzles (22 questions), chinese coding (three questions) and miscellaneous (three to four questions). In English, basic level grammar questions were asked. There were around eight to nine questions from error, five questions from cloze test, two passages, etc. The Computer Aptitude section was easy and questions were of very basic level. The General Awareness section was tough, questions were asked from authors and books, physical quality life index, Tarun scheme, etc.”

Chandraveer: “The Reasoning section was easy, questions were asked from circular puzzle, age, box, uncertain linear puzzle, inequality, blood relation, statements, causes and effect. In Quant, questions were asked from pie-chart, caselet, DI, number series, arithmetic. The Hindi section was tougher compared to other sections. Questions were asked from error detection, sentence arrangement, fillers, antonyms, synonyms, proverbs. In GA, mostly questions were asked from current affairs. This section was easy. The Computer Aptitude section was easy, 20 questions were asked from MS Excel.”

General Knowledge

GA questions were asked from Previous Budget, G20 Submit Theme, Mudra Scheme, International Mountain Day Theme, Name of the book A Song of India, 2019 ICC World Cup Winning Team Captain, World Population Day date, Fishery Sector Limit, Small Finance Bank, Allahabad Bank Merger.

Reasoning

Day-Based Puzzle (Two questions), Uncertain Linear (Three questions), Circular-Based Puzzles (Five questions), Miscellaneous (One Chinese Coding questions, One direction question, Inequalities (Three questions), Blood Relations (Three questions). IBPS RRB scorecard is required to be downloaded online only. There is no facility to check the same offline. It is released few days after the declaration of the result. Candidates can get it by logging with the required credentials.

There is no facility to recheck IBPS RRB result. The same announced by the examination authority is considered as final. The result is announced online. Candidates can check their results by logging with the required credentials.

IBPS RRB normalisation of marks is done since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. This is followed to adjust the difficulty level of the questions across various sessions. The result and cut off are decided based on normalisation.
