How to Prepare for RRB NTPC General Awareness? The General Awareness of the RRB NTPC exam carries the maximum weightage. A total of 40 questions are asked in the CBT 1 exam and 50 questions in the CBT 2 exam. Questions in the test are asked from climate change, political steps, governance, historial inventions, scientific inventions, economy, polity, science and technology, and sports, etc. RRB NTPC question paper 2025 for General Awareness carries questions from Static GK and Current Affairs. Candidates must go through the current affairs of the past year or the last six months. To improve the knowledge of Current Affairs for RRB NTPC 2025 exam, candidates must read the newspapers daily and refer to good General Knowledge books. Q:   Is RRB NTPC exam tough?
A:
RRB NTPC exam was moderate in terms of difficulty level. The General Awareness section was moderate, while General Intelligence and Reasoning sections were easy. The overall difficulty level of the Mathematics section was easy to moderate. RRB NTPC exam is held for 90 minutes for general candidates while 120 minutes is given for PwBD candidates. There are no sectional timings in RRB NTPC exam. Candidates need to attempt the paper within the allotted time duration.
Q:   What is the passing score for RRB NTPC exam?
A:

RRBs prescribes qualifying marks for RRB NTPC exam. Besides the cut off marks, candidates are also required to secure the qualifying marks. The minimum qualifying marks for CBT 1 and 2 for General, EWS categories is 40 per cent, for OBC and SC is 30 per cent and for ST category is 25 per cent. In CBAT, candidates are required to secure a minimum T-score of 42 marks.

A:

GK section has the maximum weightage in RRB NTPC exam. Candidates can prepare this section by reading newspaper, magazines and watching news channels. They need to be updated with all the recent happenings. In CBT 1, a total of 40 questions are asked and in CBT 2 total of 50 questions are asked. The tips and tricks to prepare for RRB NTPC GK section are given below:

  • Go through the Previous Years’ Papers
  • Try to be inquisitive about important things happening around you
  • You should maintain a dairy of important notes
  • Practice quizzes in your leisure time
  • Attempt mock test
