Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) is conducting the RRB NTPC 2025, RRB Group D 2025 and RRB ALP 2025 examinations to fill vacancies in the Indian Railways. The RRB NTPC exam for Graduate posts began on June 5, 2025 and will end on June 24, 2025. The Railway RRB Group D exam will begin in July 2025. Shiksha.com conducted a poll asking, "Are you preparing for any RRB Exam in 2025?" to gather the response of candidates regarding the exam they are preparing for to get Railway recruitment in 2025. According to Shiksha Polls on RRB exams 2025, 79 per cent of candidates said that they are preparing for the RRB NTPC 2025 exam, 24 per cent stated that they are in preparation for the RRB Group D exam 2025 and 4 per cent for RRB ALP 2025 exam.

The RRB 2025 exams are already underway for the graduate posts of Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC). The Railway Group D CBE exam will be conducted from July 26 to September 27, 2025.

Q:   What is the right time, to begin with RRB Group D preparation?
A:

It is ideal to begin preparing for RRB Group D six months prior to the date of the exam. The first and foremost step toward preparation is going through the RRB Group D exam pattern. The exam pattern helps candidates to know the marking scheme, qualifying marks, section-wise topics, total marks, etc. The right time to begin the RRB Group D preparation depends on the current level of knowledge and preparation. Generally, it is best to start early, giving yourself enough time to cover all the topics thoroughly. If candidates are just starting and have solid understanding of the subjects then they can begin their preparation 6 to 12 months before the exam date. This allows for consistent and comprehensive preparation, ensuring that candidates have ample time to practice, revise and build confidence in the exam topics. Candidates should create a study schedule and stay consistent throughout the preparation journey.

A:
To crack the RRB Group D exam, candidates must make a list of the most important topics by analysing the previous years' question papers. Try to clear the concepts of each and every topic rather than cramming. Set a time to go over the chapters again. Memorise the formulas and definitions. Differentiate weal areas and work to improve them. Solve puzzles to improve logical skills.
Q:   What is the difficulty level of RRB Group D exam?
A:
The difficulty level of RRB Group D exam is of moderate level as the syllabus is of Class 10 standard. In RRB Group D 2022 exam, the General Awareness section was moderate, General Science section was moderate, Maths section was moderate, General Intelligence and Reasoning section was moderate. To prepare for RRB Group D exam, candidates can practice previous years' question papers, solve mock tests, go through the exam pattern and syllabus, etc.

RRB Exams 2025: Shiksha Poll Analysis

Q:   My age is 36 years. Can I prepare for Railways Group D?
A:
You are not eligible to apply for the upcoming RRB Group D exam cycle. This is due to the age criteria of the RRB for the Group D exam. The age limit for the Indian Railways Group D exam is 33 years. The educational requirement states that applicants must hold a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) or have completed the equivalent of grade 10 or higher. However, if you belong to a category like OBC, SC, ST, or PwBD, you may get some age relaxations of up to 5 years. In that case, you can prepare for the Group D exam.
