UPPSC UPPCS 2020 exam postponed: New dates later

The UPPSC has postponed the UPPCS 2020 exam scheduled to be conducted on June 21. The UPPSC 2020 exam was postponed through a press notice issued by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, Prayagraj. The other name of UPPCS exam is the Combined State/Upper Subordinate exam conducted every year to recruit the candidates for the coveted state civil services.

It was clear from the date extension of the UPPSC 2020 application form that it would be impossible to conduct the exam within 16 days from the application closing date, only the official information was awaited.

The UPPSC issued the notice stating the postponement of UPPSC 2020 prelims exam. The new dates were not notified and will be intimated later. The UPPCS is the prestigious exam in the state and conducted offline across the state on a single day in two sessions.

The UPPSC Prelims exam is the first stage of the three-stage UPPSC PCS exam 2020. The prelims exam is a screening exam and the marks secured in the UPPSC prelims exam are not considered for the final merit. The UPPSC prelims comprise if two objective type question papers. From UPPCS exam 2019, negative marking of one by three was introduced in the UPPSC prelims exam. This had made the exam even more difficult to crack.

The UPPSC prelims 2020 exam will be conducted on the exam pattern as notified in the UPPSC 2020 notification which is given below.

The UPPSC 2020 notification was issued on April 21 and the online applications were invited. Later the UPPSC had extended the UPPSC 2020 application to June 4. The last date for UPPSC Application fee submission was June 2.
