BPSC Syllabus 2025: Download BPCS Syllabus PDF (Prelims & Mains Exam)

BPSC CCE 2025 syllabus includes three stages- Prelims, Mains, and Interview. The BPSC CCE exam is conducted for the recruitment of candidates for various administrative positions in Bihar. 

BPSC had mentioned the prelims syllabus in the official notification. As per the official BPSC prelims syllabus 2025, it includes only the General Studies Paper, which has the following topics:

• General Science.
• Current events of national and international importance.
• History of India and salient features of the history of Bihar - Social, Economic, and Political aspects will be asked.
• General Geography and the geographical division of Bihar 
• Indian Polity and Economy, and major changes in the economy of Bihar
• Indian National Movement and the part played by Bihar in it.
• General Mental Ability.

BPSC Mains Syllabus 2025 includes one qualifying paper of General Hindi, Paper 2 of General Science-1, Paper 3 of General Science-2, and an Optional Paper.  BPSC Mains 2025 score adds up in the final list to make a cut-off. 

BPSC CCE Mains General Hindi Syllabus

• Essay Writing (30 marks)
• Grammar (30 marks)
• Sentence Correction (25 marks)
• Summary Writing (Precis) (15 marks)

BPSC CCE Mains General Science-1 Syllabus

• Modern History of India and the role of Bihar in the freedom movement.
• Indian Culture and National Heritage.
• Statistical analysis, diagrams, and graphs.

BPSC CCE Mains General Science-2 Syllabus

• Indian Polity (Constitution, Governance, Public Administration).
• Indian Economy and Geography of India and Bihar.
• Role and impact of Science and Technology in India’s development.

BPSC CCE Mains Optional Paper 

You can choose any of the subjects from the table below as an optional subject for BPSC Mains 2025.

Candidates appearing for the BPSC Mains 2025 exam will also appear for the Interview. BPSC Interview is a personality test, where board members (experts from different professions) are appointed by the commission to evaluate candidates on different parameters.  

BPSC 2025 final cut-off will be made based on the score of the BPSC 2025 mains exam and Interview score.

BPSC 71st CCE 2025 was conducted in three stages: Prelims, Mains, and Interview. The Prelims exam is a screening test. The candidates who clear the BPSC prelims 2025 exam will appear for the BPSC mains 2025 and Interview. Check the BPSC 2025 Exam Pattern below:
