UPPSC PCS Result for Prelims
Some posts have different educational qualifications required and hence their result is released separately in the result. Therefore, it can be a case where the roll number of the candidate appears more than once. The number of candidates who qualify for the prelims exam will be thirteen times the number of vacancies. There is no scaling in the UPPSC PCS Prelims exam and the candidates are on a level playing field in the exam.
UPPSC PCS Result for Main
As mentioned in the official notification of the UPPSC PCS exam, there is a provision for scaling in the optional subjects in the main examination. The formula of scaling is not provided by the commission and the candidates can only guess about it. The most common notion about scaling is that it depends on the level of difficulty of the question paper. The level of difficulty is decided by the subject experts and negative and positive scaling is done based on their recommendations.
The marks of candidates can be increased or decreased based on the scaling process in a particular subject. The raw marks of the candidates are also mentioned in the mark sheet given by the commission. The marks of the candidates are released after the completion of the exam process.
