TISS CUET PG Admission Process 2025

TATA Institute of Social Sciences has officially announced the online registration for TISS CUET PG 2025 counselling, which will begin on Monday, May 19, 2025. This announcement marks a crucial step for candidates seeking admission to TISS diverse Master's degree and professional degree programmes offered across its various campuses. Candidates who selected TISS programmes during the CUET PG 2025 application can now register for TISS admissions by visiting admissions.tiss.ac.in and completing the TISS CUET PG 2025 counselling form within the specified dates. Details regarding the counselling process will be released soon by the conducting authority.

CUET PG 2025 counselling process is being conducted by the participating universities separately on their official websites. The majority of the CUET PG 2025 exam participating universities will be conducting their counselling process online. The counselling process for CUET PG 2025 will be held separately for different participating universities under CUET PG 2025 Examination. Candidates are requested to keep visiting the official websites of participating universities to get information about the CUET PG 2025 counselling rounds. 

So far, there is only one update from TISS about the counselling process which will start from May 19, 2025

Q:   What are the steps for CUET PG 2024 Counselling Process?
A:

After the CUET PG 2024 result declaration, the CUET PG 2024 Participating Universities will separately release their colleges/ university's merit list or shorlisted candidate's list who are selected for participating in the counselling process forthatcollege. 

Candidates will then have to register and pay the requiste or asked registration fee for admission and visit the institution campus with thw list of documents which have been asked by the university for verification process. Some of the universities or institutes may conduct interview for some specific courses.

 

 

 

The TISS CUET PG 2025 cut-off and merit list for admissions will be published by the exam authorities, taking into account the number of applicants and the available seats. The CUET PG 2025 results, conducted by the NTA for 157 subjects, were released earlier on May 6, 2025.

Q:   Who conducts CUET PG 2025 Counselling?
A:

Although NTA, National Testing Agency is the CUET PG 2025 examination conducting body but the CUET PG 2025 Counselling process is not conducted by NTA. As per the previous year trend, candidates can expect the counselling process for CUET PG 2025 will be held separately for different participating universities under CUET PG 2025 Examination. It is expected for this year's counselling process that there will not be any combined counselling process.

The seats for many of the courses might get vacant because the candidates got upgraded to other courses or might leave the seat, which causes the conduction of one more round, which is called CUET PG 2025 Spot Round/ Spot Counselling/ Spot Round

Q:   In how many rounds will CUET PG 2025 counselling be concluded?
A:

The counselling process for CUET PG 2025 will be held separately for different participating universities under the CUET PG 2025 Examination. Therefore, the CUET PG 2025 Counselling Rounds are not specific to any number. Depending on the availability of vacant seats at that particular university of any course, the CUET PG 2025 counselling rounds will vary.

But as per the previous year trend, candidates can expect at least two rounds of counselling for any course at one of the participating universities.

TISS CUET PG 2025 Counselling Process
The TISSNET exam was discontinued from last year. Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has decided that admission for the forthcoming Academic Sessions for all its Postgraduate Programmes  will be based on the CUET PG exam , except for the following programmes, which will consider CAT scores- Master of Arts in Human Resource Management & Labour Relations and Master of Arts in Organisation Development, Change and Leadership.

Below are the important key points that the candidate needs to remember or keep in mind during the process of CUET PG 2025 Counselling Process:

  • Each university will be releasing separately the rank list for CUET PG 2025 Counselling.
  •  The admission of the candidates in the participating universities of CUET PG 2025 will be based on their ranking and also on the available seats at all the participating universities.
  • The first step in the CUET PG 2025 counselling process is to apply online, followed by an offline meeting.
  • Interested participants must register at the website of their respective participating institution in order to participate in CUET PG counselling 2025.
  • A candidate with a higher CUET PG 2025 cutoff will be given a higher priority than a candidate with a lower cutoff.
  • Upon acceptance into a college and program, students must pay the admission fee.

TISS CUET PG 2025 Spot Round

The seats for many of the courses might get vacant because the candidates got upgraded to other courses or might leave the seat, which causes the conduction of one more round, which is called TISS CUET PG 2025 Spot Round/ Spot Counselling/ Spot Round. Those who would not be allotted a seat in the original counselling rounds can participate in the spot counselling by registering on the official websites of the CUET participating institutes. Such candidates will have to participate in the CUET spot counselling rounds by visiting the institutes and getting the documents verified by the institutes' admission officials. Candidates should therefore check the official website of the college.

TISS CUET PG 2025 Merit list

The CUET PG 2025 merit list is released to shortlist candidates who will be granted admission to the participating colleges. If a candidate's name appears in the list, then he/she will have to get the documents verified and pay the admission fee to secure admission. After each round of counselling, the merit list is shared. Generally, there will be two rounds of counselling. In case seats remain vacant, then a third round will also be held. 

TISS CUET PG 2025 Passing Marks?

The passing marks of TISS CUET PG 2025 keep varying depending on the course and college preferred by the candidate. It is not fixated by any centralised authority. Depending upon the college in which a candidate aims to seek admission, the passing marks vary. Let's say, for example, in college A, the passing marks can be 40 per cent, whereas in college B, the passing marks can be 35 per cent depending on their admission policies.

TISS CUET PG 2025 Results

CUET PG 2025 results released by the examination conducting body, NTA on May 6, 2025. The CUET PG results 2025 are compiled based on the corrections made in the provisional answer key (also called CUET PG Final answer key). Candidates will have to log in to the official website with their registration credentials and download the CUET PG 2025 result or scorecard. The NTA Score of CUET (PG) - 2025 will be valid for admission to the academic year 2025-26 only. Scores and candidate data would be shared with the University where he/she has applied.
The Score Card will contain marks awarded in the domain subject knowledge for each course. The university can draw the merit list based on the total score or only on the score achieved in Part I of the Domain Knowledge Section.

TISS CUET PG 2025 Marking Scheme

There will be 75 domain-specific questions that will be asked in the examination. The maximum marks that a candidate can score will be 300 marks, which was 400 marks last year. The marking scheme of the CUET PG 2025 exam is as follows:

  • Each question carries four marks.

  • For each correct response, candidates will get four marks.

  • For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted from the total score.

  • Unanswered/un-attempted answers will be given no marks.
