The CUET PG Test Centres 2024 are the venues where the CUET PG was held in computer-based centres mode. The NTA had also reduced the selection of the exam city preferences for CUET PG 2023 exam. Earlier candidates were supposed to select four examination city preferences, but now they could only choose two exam city preferences for CUET PG examination. Also candidates must note that choice of exam cities displayed to the candidates would be based on the permanent and correspondence addresses filled during the CUET PG Application form.

Candidates will have to select the CUET PG 2024 exam centre city while filling out the application form. They will have to enter as many as two exam cities in preferential order. NTA will try to allot the exam centre according to candidates preferences. However, the final decision will be made by the exam authorities.

Q:   What changes have been made by NTA this year for selecting CUET-PG exam city preferences?

A:
The number of exam centres in India for CUET-PG 2023 has been reduced. Now the exam centres in India are 313 which was 554 centres last year. However, the number of exam centres outside India has been increased. Now the exam centres outside India are 24, which was just 13 last year. The NTA has also reduced the selection of the exam city preferences for CUET-PG 2023 exam. Earlier candidates were supposed to select four examination city preferences, but now they can only choose two exam city preferences for CUET-PG 2023 examination. Also candidates must note that choice of exam cities displayed to the candidates will be based on the permanent and correspondence addresses filled during the Online Application Form of CUET-PG 2023.

Q:   Will NTA release the CUET PG 2024 Advance City Intimation Slip?

A:

CUET PG 2024 city intimation slip has been released by NTA on March 4, 2024. Candidates whose exam is scheduled between March 11 to March 15, 2024 can download the CUET PG 2024 city slip by visiting the official website. The released city slip is phase 1 CUET PG 2024 city slip.

The CUET-PG 2024 advance intimation of exam city slip is the precursor to the admit card. In this document, candidates will only be intimated about the city where their CUET-PG 2024 exam centre has been allotted. The objective of this document is to help candidates prepare in advance regarding the exam day travel or commute.

How to Select CUET PG Exam City

Candidates had to follow the steps given below to select the exam city of CUET PG 2024:

  • Visit the CUET PG 2024 website- Link will be provided once it is activated
  • In the Exam City preference section of the CUET 2024 application form, select two cities in preferential order.
  • Complete the application process by paying the requisite application fee.
  • The exam city preference can be changed during the application correction window.
  • Choose cities that are well-connected by public transportation. This will make it easier for you to get to the exam center on time.
  • Choose cities that have a good track record of conducting exams smoothly.
  • Avoid choosing cities that are prone to natural disasters.

It is important to note that the NTA may not be able to assign candidates to their preferred exam city. This is because the number of candidates who choose a particular city may be higher than the number of seats available in that city.

In case the NTA is unable to assign a candidate to their preferred exam city, they will be assigned to the nearest available exam city.

Q:   How many exam cities can be selected while filling up the CUET PG 2024 application form?

A:

NTA is yet to release the information brochure and exam notification for the academic session 2024-2025. As per the previous year, it is observed that NTA has provided total 2 options/ choices to the aspirants who are filling the CUET PG 2024 application form to select the exam cities.

However, in the year 2022 NTA has provided 4 choices to candidates to select their exam citiy preferences. The NTA has also reduced the selection of the exam city preferences for CUET-PG 2023 exam.

NTA reserves the right to allot any exam city to the candidates that is not among your selected choices.

Q:   Can exam centre be changed after the releasing of CUET PG admit card?

A:

No, the exam center cannot be changed after the release of the CUET PG admit card. The NTA has made it clear that once the exam center is allotted to a candidate, it cannot be changed under any circumstances.

This is to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the exam. Changing the exam center at the last moment can create logistical challenges and lead to confusion among candidates and exam officials.

Therefore, it is important for candidates to select their exam city carefully while filling up the CUET PG application form. They should also choose cities that are well-connected by public transportation and have a good track record of conducting exams smoothly.

Q:   At what time should I report at the CUET PG exam centre?

A:

The reporting time for the CUET PG exam varies depending on the shift and the exam center allotted to you. The exam is conducted in three shifts: the first shift starts at 8:30 AM, the second shift starts at 12:00 PM and the third slot at 3:00 PM. Candidates are advised to reach the exam center at least one hour before the start of the exam.

This is to ensure that you have enough time for the verification process and to avoid any last-minute rush or delays. The reporting time mentioned on your CUET PG admit card is the time by which you should reach the exam center. It is important to note that candidates who report late may not be allowed to enter the exam center, and will be disqualified from the exam. Therefore, it is advisable to plan your travel in advance and reach the exam center well before the reporting time mentioned on your admit card to avoid any last-minute issues or delays. Also, make sure to carry all the required documents, including your CUET PG admit card and a valid photo ID proof, to the exam center for verification purposes.

CUET PG 2024 Test Practice Centres And Common Service Centres

Candidates can find out all the information related about the CUET PG 2024 test practice centres in their nearby locations and the other coomon service centres provided by the NTA here.

Test Practice Centres (TPC's)

The Ministry of Education has mandated the NTA to set up, establish and create a network of Test Practice Centres for candidates, especially in remote and rural areas to enable them to practice and be comfortable in taking a Computer Based Test (CBT). This facility is completely free of cost. Candidates can register online (on the NTA website) where they are provided a convenient TPC near their location to practice on a given computer node. This facilitates the process of being able to take a Computer Based Test (CBT).

The entire experience of using a computer is close to the actual experience of taking a CBT. All efforts are made to provide practice tests and questions so that candidates can familiarize themselves with logging into the system, go through the detailed instructions regarding the test, use the mouse or numeric keyboard on-screen (virtual) for attempting each question, scroll down to the next question, navigate between questions, review and edit their options and submit answer.

The objective of TPCs is primarily to organize test practice for the upcoming NTA examinations.

Common Service Centres/ Facilitation Centres

Candidates who are not well conversant and submitting face difficulties in the online application due to various constraints can use the services of Common Services Centre, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India under the Digital India initiatives of Hon‟ble Prime Minister. The Common Services Centre (CSC) scheme is a part of the ambitious National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) of the Government of India and is managed at each village panchayat level by a Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE).
There are more than 1.5 lakhs Common Services Centres (CSC) across the country which will provide the desired support to candidates from urban as well as rural areas in online submission of Application Form and payment of fee through e-wallet. The list of the Common Services Centre is available on the website: www.csc.gov.in.
